Well, his people calling it a "glitch" seems like odd terminology. Why not say "falsely" or "in error" or "by mistake"?

"Glitch" makes it sound like something happened but they did not intend for it to happen.

That seems like the same meaning I would ascribe to "mistake" or "error".

"Glitch" makes it sound like we live in the Matrix. Crazy Paultards with their tinfoil hats.

The only plane that got stopped that day was due to civilians going hardcore. We are our own best defense against this sort of thing. They had the element of surprise, but nobody is going to let a plane be flown into a building again. The biggest risk is that terrorists may hurt those aboard the plane, but that's the same risk involved when jumping on a greyhound.

Agree with this. Imo, we are less safe/secure than prior to 9/11, especially considering the gaps in the cargo areas.

Really we are less safe now than before 9/11? I dont believe that for a second. 20+ guys walked on multiple planes with knives and nobody even questioned them. I know an FBI agent that recently tried to walk on a plane with a spent shell casing in his carry on and he was caught pretty easily

But let me review my RP Terrorism Playbook... Hmm Chapter 2 says that since we drone people, our Airports are less safe than before 9/11 b/c more people hate us. Did I miss anything RP supporters?

Airports? I don't think he says airports are specifically less safe. I think he says in general we are less safe.

Article I, Section 6

Good read..
The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services, to be ascertained by Law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States. They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same.

since he's stated his objections prior and stood on those objections I don't see it as claiming to be above the rules (e.g. Alec Baldwin playing Words with Friends on the plane).

also, the law was on his side so he wasn't claiming to be above the law.

Actually the supreme law of the land says don't delay the good senator.

Attempting to board an airplane illegally is a felony.

The "supreme law of the land" does not protect the "good senator" from felonies.

Reread the Constitution.

Reread the Constitution.

Get your facts straight.

And yes the constitution would protect the senator. Not in the sense that he wouldn't be held accountable for a felony, but they can't prevent him from voting in the senate if he's en route.

You should cut your losses and stop posting.

Hey he's just like anyone else, just because he's a political figure does not excuse him from going through the check point for an extra security measure. Be a big boy, do what you gotta do and move on to his flight.
