Random Recruiting News

This makes me a little sick. I agree with previous posts. Really no news coming out. I hope it is planned that way, we know CLK likes to play things close to the vest, but a littlle bit of info would be nice.

Visitors at Tennessee's practice included 6-foot-4-inch, 230-pound pro style quarterback Blake Bortles as well as 6-6, 260-pound offensive lineman Dan Koenig.

Newberg says that Stone favors Bama and Vandy over Tennessee, also OC Brown loves LSU and the Rebs. Newberg also thinks that OU and OSU are potential suitors for Brown.

Dante Hightower's assistant coach said he called Fulmer every week and told him he needed to recruit Dante that BAMA was working him hard. The coach was an assistant at Lewisburg when Dante was a senior. He had moved to Memphis to take a job here. I think Cignetti recruited Dante for them. He is the best DL to come out of TN in several years and started his first game as a true Freshman at BAMA. He said Roper would come down occasionally and just sit up in the press box. Pretty much a non factor. Saban cheated on the WR here at Memphis Mitchell. He bumped into him during a dead period. Saban was not even supposed to be on that campus. I hate to say it but I saw the Michell kid first hand at the combine Saturday and he is a stud. I think he has some work in the classroom to do however. Hillcrest had 3 really talented kids out there. The QB was 6'3" and about 210 and chiseled. He said UT had talked to him as an athlete probably a safety. The TE they had was playing his 1st season and he is about 6'6" and about 225 and chiseled and has real soft hands and can catch it. I had seen Brunetti before and he is a nice player with excellent touch and accuracy. Arm strenth average but can probably run a 4.6. some really gifted athletes on hand but probably 60% wont qualify. I hope I'm wrong. Saint Benedict had a receiver that finished second in catches last year in Shelby County. A sophmore Junior to be.

I can definitely see that with Brown, but not with Stone. Brown has talked numerous times about Ole Miss and LSU, but I haven't read anything where Stone says how he's leaning. He stated that none of his visits have stood out from one another. If it comes down to us and Vandy, we get him. And Jacques was with him on his trip to Bama, and I'm pretty sure Jacques said somewhere that he was constantly pointing out that UT was better than Bama...

Can you do me a favor. I don't have a rivals sub. can anyone give a quick summary on who they're after

there are over 20 prospects profiled in that piece and I give them virtually no chance at several that made the list. Some on the list are even committed to other schools already---UF/ND.

I think many people see Shaw at WR, since he's only 6'0. He also looks much better as a sprinter than a dropback passer in his highlights.

He was a heavy lean to the Gamecocks. Everyone knew that. He impressed at the recent camp in Atlanta, but has not impressed me at all.

UGA added two recruits today. DT/OL Kolton Houston and LB Marc Deas. It's their spring game today. Hope we get some commits next weekend.

Darius Kilgo, a 6-foot-5, 311-pounder from Matthews (N.C.) Weddington with offers from Tennessee, Illinois and Maryland early and is one of the top defensive tackles in the region.
