Random, Thoughts, X,XXIV

no mail since Saturday. Roads are drivable. What happened to ‘neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow, nor hail shall keep us from our appointed rounds.’?

at FexEx - package went from Dallas and is in New Mexico - ( why it went West IDK) ? delayed still -- is the Memphis airport still that bad they cant clear the runways ?
I’m confused - what does Memphis have to do with it? Aren’t you in Illinois?

I guess if it’s being delivered to a Memphis address, it’s not the runways but the roads. Maybe their warehouse is crammed full, and they’re holding Memphis deliveries until they can clear out a bit.1705689171876.gif

I guess Memphis is where the FedEx hub is - like St Louis is where the USPS hub is -- both for Illinois deliveries -- Illinois taxes are to high to accomodate businesses in State

It would go through Memphis on the way to Illinois.

Well, right, I get that. I would just guess that the whole eastern and central parts of the US are backed up, as FedEx usually flies at night (colder, more risk of dangerous icing), and they still have to get shipments to and from airports on surface roads.

We (the plane) had to get de-iced for almost ten minutes when we left Asheville at dark-forty 2 weeks ago. That was pretty spooky, although I’d rather they do it than not. I still remember this:

Mikey would blame Jesus' return for his package being late.

Northwest into the 14th Street bridge correct? I remember that as well.

I’ve been on planes getting de iced quite a few times, I thought it was cool, especially when dark.

I can understand their employees not being able to get to work in the first place, thats out of their control --Its a Gvnmt issue for not being prepared even if it is not so often, a snowstorm happens
