Sometimes I have to buy four gallons of milk at a time, for the week. Dad must have whole milk, mom can't, and sometimes I have to grab a gallon for my daughter who doesn't live here (because she has two rapidly growing children and it gets gone fast.)
I had to buy four gallons of milk yesterday for people in my family. This happens a couple of times a month.
I felt really bad for the crazy woman in the milk aisle who called me a "Godless Hoarder," along with her three crying children, because I grabbed the last of the milk. At least I think she said "hoarder," mighta been something else.
A lot of us do not go to the store every day, and a lot of us have to plan. My parents are immobile and cannot drive, and I try to do everything I can for them.
If someone at the store had asked me yesterday if I needed 4 gallons of milk, I would have told them to mind their own effin business.
Hoarding perishables is stoopit. I mean a snowstorm, people figure on 3-4 days. Do people buy extra fridges for all this milk and all these eggs?
And the chambers of commerce here are ASKING people to donate toilet paper, paper towels, and bottled water.
Nobody can conjure those things from air.

Sure, I completely understand that fir people buying non perishable items. We have about 20 churches, and several businesses taking donations. They're not taking those items, Walmart trycks aren't coming from there, so there's no need to worry that Walmart won't get ttucks. Ingles, yeah, but we also have a local store, and Kroger and Publix 20 minutes away. That said, Ingles posted today their trucks will be back on schedule. I get some people shop for others, i get some people buy more than 1 gallon of milk. I've lived here for 25 years, and in those years, you think that suddenly people shopping for others emptied store shelves? Not trying to sound smart, but I don't get why some doubt that people hoard. They do it every time there's a snow forecast, and covid was horrible. I watched people pull buggies up to shelves, and take theur arm and swipe everything they could into them. That's not rumors, I literally watched it. I'll quit talking about it, and good for you guys believing it happened for the good of humanity, and nobody did it being selfishWhat about when a major hurricane drops nearly 30 inches of reasons literally 150 miles north of you. Think that could have an we effect?
if you rake eggs off the shelves and into the buggies herruh, dem eggs brakeSure, I completely understand that fir people buying non perishable items.
