As do I. I preferentially buy American, including paying more, if it’s well-made and what I need in a product. And I preferentially buy local, same idea. Not really interested in a bunch of foreign parts that happen to be put together by robots at a place located on American soil where they got massive tax incentives to pay a few of my countrymen peanuts to sweep the floors. There are lists available of vehicles produced by US automakers with the highest percentage of US produced and supplied parts. I put my money where my mouth is.

But if there isn’t a US-made product that fits my needs, I’ll go elsewhere. I’ve owned my share of Fords, Dodges, and Chevrolets.
The owner of my company called today. Kingsport is set for now and told my boss that he wants to set up a zoom call in a couple weeks to get me headed to Texas after. I thought he had forgotten, but nope. I don’t even know which facility I’ll be going to. Somehow the baby show has to happen the first week of August. I feel like...

From a knee standpoint the Rogue was a perfect height. Still going to have the roadnoise though.@malinoisvol - I did a VN search on Subaru Outback, and I saw (Dec 2020) where your dad was considering buying your mom an Outback. What did he wind up buying, and if an Outback, how has it worked out?
I rented a RAV4 when I was in Denver and liked it, but the road noise was terrible, and it sits a bit high to get the Moms in and out, plus me in the passenger seat on a bad knee day.
It was more drilled into me growing up. My 77 year old parents have never had a foreign car. I had a used Isuzu trooper for a couple of years, which was a gift, and I had an old XJ Jaguar as a Sunday driver for a bit just cause. I’m not a super patriot and I don’t think bad of people who drive foreign cars. I just try to support local/domestic when I can.
I’ve been eyeballing them on the road, and I like their looks, including window height. (I’m sick to death of those ridiculous Dodge gun slit windows, for instance.) I doubt I’ll ever get Hubs to consider a Nissan, though. At some point they got the reputation for being a bit shaky in terms of quality, and I don’t think he’ll ever get over it.From a knee standpoint the Rogue was a perfect height. You know they make traditionally foreign cars here in the USA right? Toyota, Nissan is made in Smyrna TN.It was more drilled into me growing up. My 77 year old parents have never had a foreign car. Nice! A Camry?
My grandson worked at a Nissan dealership here and he would concur with your husbands assertion.I’ve been eyeballing them on the road, and I like their looks, including window height. Our family has owned 8 since 02 with no problems except the Xterra that blew a head gasket at 152000 miles. Primarily built in Nashville and MS.I’ve been eyeballing them on the road, and I like their looks, including window height.
