Ranking of SEC Teams

Ya'll's lists are boring. Live a little.

1 - TN - TN proves that their back this year. No, I have no facts, stats, just a gut feeling...and an incredible amount of bias.
2 - FL - Awesome offense. Unbelievable coach / recruiting classes / talent. They'll be good.
3 - LSU - Call me crazy, I'm not buying the hype. Lost 4 first rounders. That's a big hit. QB's played little (yes, I know about the Miami game). Miles' year was last year. They should've won the MNC. I could see Bama or Auburn also winning the west.
4 - SC - Senior QB, Cory Boyd, Jasper Brinkley, Kenny McKinley, they return a lot. Add that plus the fact that they have a great coach. I respect this team a lot. They COULD get over a hump this year.
5 - Auburn - just because
6 - GA - Not sure I understand the hype with them either. Yeah, they finished well last year.
7 - Arkansas - Man there's a lot of drama in Fayetteville.
8 - Bama - Give Saban a year or 2, they'll be a beast
9 - KY - They'll go bowling.
10 - Vandy - They'll go bowling for the first time in a long time.
11 - Ole Miss
12 - MS State

salute, UF lost alot more than LSU did. Nine defensive starters and I believe about 8 of them were drafted. Two of their top 3 WR's. Top RB plus a possible replacement is in off the field trouble.

I didn't like Leak but he was a playmaker, film junky, and knew the SEC like the back of his hand. He may be missed more than most now think.

I hope this thread survives until UF shows what it is going to be.

I want to either be beaten by you guys for being so incredibly stupid... or else get to say "I told you so".

If UM is such a genuis that he replaces 9 defensive starters and 10 of 22 on the defensive two deep plus his 4 year starter at QB plus his top RB plus 2 of his top three WR's... then everyone else needs to just mail it in until he decides to retire or go pro.

Consider this my friend, Vandy, Arkansas and Georgia should have the best offensive firepower in the SEC in 2007. Alabama doesn't have the defensive depth to get a stop in the second half.

As an Alabama Alum, I pray that you are right, but I seriously doubt it.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Alabama will either be 2-1 or 3-0 heading into October in the SEC, with Georgia being the possible loss.

Is this love for vandy and kentucky legit or does it go under the "if they are in the SEC and are .500 they must be good" file? Even if there is little or no evidence of this. Kentucky for one does not have a good coach.

Bama has the best wide receiver group. Vandy has one wide receiver. Arkansas has no QB. Georgia has no one on offense that has ever done anything. I don't know where you're getting this.

Top 6:
1. LSU
2. Auburn
3. Florida
4. Tennessee
5. Georgia
6. Alabama

I am not as big on UGA as most of the pre-season mags I have been reading. I just dont see them being much better than last year. I think UT could easily win the SEC East if they get the breaks they missed out on. It seems people forget they only lost to UF, the national champs, by 1....and lost to LSU by 3 with a backup QB.

Im not sure how you can put Bama ahead of USC. USC has more talent, a better coach, coaching staff, experience. You cant argue with that.

I would actually say that Alabama has better talent no QUESTION, their only problem has been their instability in the coaching staff. Spurrier is hands down one of the best coaches in the country, but Alabama probably has more talented athletes than South Carolina right this very moment.

Not so fast my friend. Alabama is in jeopardy of being mush worse. Arky will start the season strong since Nutt knows his days are numbered (they will fade and lose 3 of last 4). And it wouldn't shock me to see them in a nail biter at Vandy.

I would say Spurrier WAS one of the best coaches. He has not been working the magic. He beat UF and UT in 2005, but other than that he doesn't have ANY wins while at USC worth mentioning.

Well, if you look at recruiting rankings Bama is clearly a little better. I just dont think the talent difference is as big as it appears.

No offense, but you just dont know enough to be able to say that. Youre looking at this from an uninformed, outside point of view.

Actually, that statement in particular looked pretty informed and 100% accurate.

Not that the win vs. UT in 2005 was much to hang your hat on, anyway.

That is true but you have no clue how much USC is improving under Spurrier. You think he has gotten worse?
