"Yeah, I've known (Wilson) since I was 6 years old. He used to watch me play (youth) ball and he coached my brother in high school," said Lacy, who expects his recruitment to last until National Signing Day on Feb. 4. "He's a cool guy. He's basically just like somebody my age, not young-minded, but he knows how to get along with pretty much anybody. He's a cool person."

Lacy credited Tennessee's new regime with wedging back into his recruitment after there previously was little mutual interest. Vols coaches had asked Lacy to visit this weekend, but he already had a trip scheduled to Alabama.
"The coaches started calling me and asked me to come this weekend," said Lacy, who had 1,800 yards and 26 touchdowns as a junior, "but I was going to Alabama, so they asked about next weekend. And I was like, 'Yeah.' They basically have just started contacting me. I'm wide open."
