She has a better resume than most names floated so far. She is a Lady Vol with a 67 win percentage, same as Mitchell's, and 6 straight tournament appearances. She should have been hired instead of Holy the first time.

Doug Bruno might be a good choice -- if they cant buyout Warlick just demote her back to an assistant

Really? Why? Because of his last name? Doubt he'd be any worse than Holly, but I'd hope a program with the name recognition and status that we have could to better than that.

LA TECH is 4-3 right now. Tyler may be a GREAT coach someday, but he is a brand new Head Coach. He has a lot to learn, even with his background and pedigree.

I'd love to see Tyler back here coaching SOMEDAY. But I think we would be doing him a huge disservice to bring him here before he is ready. It tarnishes his Mother's legacy and it would kill his career if he flopped.

Let's let Tyler prove himself and stand on his own success before we hand him the keys to the kingdom.

Matthew Mitchell is making $1MM a year at UK. Unless we are willing to match that he's not coming here.

Not to mention do we want him with all the attrition going on at UK?

I refuse to pile on the Warlixk hate-fest, but if Hart does decide to replace her, he must find someone who who has the following:

*head-coaching experience

*respect for the Lady Vols tradition

*strict disciplinarian, stern, bench-your-butt-if-you-don't-produce mentality

*drive for scholastic excellence (maybe Pat's greatest legacy) for his or her players

*modern coaching philosophies

My heart wants Tyler, but my head says many fans may want a complete departure from the Summitt tree (even though I can't understand why). We, Lady Vols Nation and all former players, deserve the best!

I never thought I'd live to see this storied program fall so far. I've watched the Lady Vols in the old Alumni Gymnasium, Stokely Athletic Center and now TB. My heart is aching ... and yes it breaks for Holly, too, but I never thought she had it in her. Her mindset is one of follower, peacemaker and assistant. Leaders lead.

I truly believe Tyler could lead us back to glory. What young lady wouldn't want to play for him on his mother's stage, and what assistant wouldn't want to stand by him during the journey? Ask Coach DeMoss how impressive he is at the age of 25?

Better days ahead, hopefully!

We have several problems. First, Dave will stick with Holly probably till the better end. Attendance will have to drop to non-existence. I somewhat agree with the poster that this is probably what Dave (BOT) wants. If he can allow the tradition to be destroyed then he can drop the name. Second, if he is forced to pull the trigger then we're stuck with Dave hiring her replacement. He's an idiot. Third, if he does look for a replacement he will try to do it cheaply. He's going to try to find a bargain. (The only good thing about this is just about anybody is better than Holly. So he really can't lose there.) Fourth, by the time he does pull the trigger the program will be devastated and I can see a lot of girls transferring. This once proud program is caput folks.

The opportunity to keep the Lady Vols tradition going was when Pat retired. Brenda Frese should have been offered $1 million dollars. We could have gotten her. We might still be able to get her but will cost more. Also, Nikki Caldwell would still be better than Holly. Also, Melanie Balcomb would be good. Also, Gail Goestenkors would probably be a good hire. I think if she were given another chance she would do great, better than Holly. I really wish we could get Pokey Chapman.

Wasn't she forced to resign from college basketball because she had an "inappropriate relationship" with one of her players? I might be confusing her with someone else. If so, my apologies to Ms. Chapman.
