What has this guy ever accomplished? I see he was at Flordia as WR coach for one year under Urban Meyer and the receivers were so poor UF fans were happy to get rid of him. I don't see any other impressive jobs on his resume or any major accomplishments. I don't see any testaments to some kind of recruiting prowess. Why is this guy on our staff and why is he our recruiting coordinator?

I am not a fan of his, but recruiting coordinator is a meaningless title.

He and the rest of the staff just got a rude awakening of Big Boy SEC football recruiting and got run over. They did a lot of good, but hopefully they learned from this and will do a better job for next year. Now they need to coach and make the most of what we have or it's just gonna get worse--- in before everyone screams " but they didn't have enough time" see AR, AU, etc..?

That was just the first truck that hit. The next truck is going to be when they actually have to play the games, lmao. They are going to be looking around wondering wtf happened to them. :birgits_giggle:

They were placed in the runner's lane of a race that was almost half way over. That they reached the finish line even close to the competition is ok in my books. If they sign a piss poor class next year then they don't have an excuse besides simply not getting it done. People harping on this class and this staff need to realize the circumstances surrounding the program and hold off judgement until some actual games are played next season.

Also, Auburn and Arkansas both have a more recent history of winning. Whereas they have a few kinks to work out, we have to beat the rust off the old machine here. We haven't won more than 7 games since 2007. Auburn won the NC in 2011 and Arkansas was preseason what...#5? #7? No comparison between those programs and our's right now.

What do you think your doing here? You can't come on here and try and make sense of things, that's not allowed. The Vols should of got a top 10 recruiting class this year. The fact that these kids were in grammar school the last time the Vols had a NC contending team is irrelevant, all these kids should of ditched the coaches that have been recruiting them for two years and signed with a school that has been recruiting them for 2 months. I thought everyone knew that.

Exactly, I mean WE ARE TENNESSEE after all :eek:lol:

The rise is coming. We have proven winners in the driver's seat. They may get us into national championship contention some day, they may not. But I absolutely believe they will have us competing again and improving week in and week out. With Dooley, the team was at it's best early in the year. Just seemed like as the season went on the kids were suckin wind emotionally. Butch appears to be a motivator and won't let these players quit on him like they always did on Dooley.

Well God knows Florida receivers have kicked ass since he left, so clearly the Florida fans had it right.

I love the people that are all tore up over losing a few kids that up until a month ago we had no shot at. When you look at the kids and see the considering these teams box next to their names. There was a lot more UT on there than has been the last few years. Baby steps.

Point blank because Tee turned it down...but he was the next choice...I have seen unknown, disrespected recruiters in one situation go to another one and BAM.....its a perfect fit....apparently CBJ knows him and hired him for a reason...

Who did we lose that we were supposed to get?

That 6'10 OT is the only one off the top of my head. But you can keep saying "who did we lose that we were supposed to get?" every year. Such a silly criteria. It doesn't mean you had a good recruiting class. It doesn't mean you didn't finish at the bottom of the conference.

Yep. Just like Hamilton hired Dooley for a reason. Everyone gets hired for a reason. Doesn't mean they are any good at their job.
