Premise: Kamal Hadden has improved tremendously in his time at Tennessee to become our best corner and a legit NFL prospect.

Fact: We just shut down two pretty good QBs two weeks in a row with great corner play, married up with exceptional D-Line play.

Fact: Willie Martinez coaches the cornerbacks.

Conclusion: Willie Martinez should be fired!

The bigger issue was not taking 3 points right before the half.

I would hope that Heupel would change his thoughts on that. When you are lucky to score 20 points, 3 points can make a huge difference.

Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if Tennessee played a lot of zone next week Vs Bama… Milroe can take off easily as well as throw the deep ball. He’s terrible in the short game. This game will be a knockout drag out fight like the A&M game

Next week most certainly NOT a must win… a win would be nice but I’m just looking for a spirited showing and a great game. Tennessee is on track for 9-3 after the Aggie game which would keep the recruiting momentum with a shot at 10 wins. Spirited showing and hanging in there with a lot of fight. No more 10+ point L’s. I think we’ll see that. Defense has to have another great week because Bama defense is pretty dang solid too. Should be a fun game

Refs are inconsistent on PI calls. They missed at least 2 on us.
I dint understand the holding calls either, every time TN was driving, a flag would come out. I felt A&M didn't get called for any holdings. It's becoming the same story every game.

Barron was held multiple times. Watch the missed face mask- Barron grabs the face mask as his jersey is being pulled- lol.

I'll be disappointed if we have another defensive game plan like we trotted out vs UF. Our guys should always be attacking hard.

I just don’t understand why fans think Nico, at this moment, is automatically better. It’s just not quite that simple.

Not about believing he is automatically better. No one has said that that I have read anyway. Its about moving on and your 6th years Senior QB making dumb mistakes that maybe a Freshman QB would make but I know we got Joe until the end of the season. Can't wait to see our future.

Heupel beat the team with the 4th best roster (blue chip ratio wise) only behind OSU, Bama, and UGA.

At the start of the year there were 5 toss up games in my mind….FL, USCjr, TAMU, UK, Mizzou

2-1 isn’t ideal, but still really good and 10-2 is still well within reach, especially IF the offense finds itself.

I thought that after the Sampson fumble, which happens in football, they rightfully leaned on the other 2 guys. I really wish they’d have gotten Sampson in the pass game more after that. Him and Wright in the backfield at the same time could be dangerous. Dylan is really good in space out of the backfield

I think a big part of the lack of Sampson playing time is scheme. We want to be able to possibly run the entire offensive possession without subbing. When Sampson is in the game it limits our ability to run some of our most successful run calls because he is not good running between the tackles. Plus they don't trust him with his pass protection.

The good news is Wright had similar shortcomings early in his career. Look at his development! Sampson will get there.

I know the scoreboard didn’t reflect it, but in a very literal sense WWTFA.

We big boy’d one of the most talented rosters in football. Go Vols.

This! We just played a team with top 4 talent when looking at recruiting over the past 5 years. Only Georgia, Alabama, and Ohio State can claim better. We bullied them. We have figured out who we are. I’m sad we attempted to finesse the early part of our schedule. The last two games we’ve squared it away. We’re George Foreman, not Muhammad Ali. Our QB is also a bully on the field. Let him be it!

Just want to say...I hope everybody knows how much of an accomplishment it was by our Ol and RBs today...running like that, against that defensive front..is a big deal.

I didn't think we could do it that well...I am super impressed.

I believe you didn't think we could do it at all. lol As much as we fuss about the o line we got to give them their due. They did what other top schools could not do. Great win!

But we are 5-1 and still playing for this year. It’s apparent that this staff coaches for each and every year and not just to set up the future. If we were 3-3, then that probably happens.

Before the season the books had TN o/u at 9.5 juiced to the under. I took the over thinking they were crazy, I thought AM would be the swing game, but its honestly Bama this week. Its not how I thought we would get there, but we have a chance to get there.

I can't help but think we beat UGA. Sadly I think it happens because UGA will already have the East locked up. But they will come into Neyland a bit fatigued/complacent and we will be incredibly hungry for a revenge win/signature win for the season.

I'm impressed that the coaches aren't just a 1 trick walking horse. They can win with different types of football teams. We don't have to wait a year or 2 for players to fit their scheme to get here, we don't hear those types of excuses. They make due with what they have and find a way to make it twerk. Fits right in with the Tennessee heritage.
