Really bad. But did you watch any other college football games on Saturday, especially SEC games?

This level of incompetence is not exclusive to Vol games.
Officiating across college football has reached an all-time level of bad this season.

And it might not just be college. Last night's Giants/Bills game ended with an uncalled PI on Buffalo.

A great DL makes the secondary issues disappear mostly
And vice versa too.

Analytics is now showing just how many sacks are coverage sacks and why a top-notch lockdown corner is worth nearly as much as a top-notch passrusher. Especially as football has become more pass happy over time.

Heard some sources say end of year at best. Has a torn triceps. But honestly, the young LBs are getting better every week and have all benefitted from playing time that I doubt they would want to put him back in even if fully healed.
BJM rotates a lot of players. If Pili comes back and can contribute, they’ll play him.

How in the freakin hell do you think a computer can make football calls...this ain't freaking baseball.
"How could computers ever recognize faces? This ain't chess!"

The money is there, so solutions will be developed. Will take time and capital and demand. With how awful NFL refs are, it's a matter of time.

Not saying it's simple and may be a slow roll out like baseball. But just imagine spotting the ball and being offsides, that's very low hanging fruit. And I can say after working a season for a certain football analytics company...the spots by refs are AWFUL. Never ever slow it down frame by frame for a full game like I had to or else you'll be infuriated how they just guess.

I know it's not likely.

Just after the Florida loss the odds of making Atlanta and the playoffs were slim. It didn't really matter what happened 9-3 maybe 10-2 looked to be the ceiling.
Now UGA looks more human. I'm just saying in an alternate scenario where the coaches think there is a chance to make the playoffs, you make the change.
Yeah, but you don't make the change when your receivers suck ass.

I highly doubt Nico makes much of a difference at all, especially when he has zero experience. The WR's aren't separating and they are often dropping the ball.

Nico probably runs for that first down on the free play, but other than that how does he handle protections and all the other things you need to worry about when you're a QB.

I'm also pretty certain the coaches think we can make the playoffs so what are you talking about? Lol

Who says I haven't already been on that show?

Knew this was you!

I want Joe to be better. He's infuriating sometimes and I've felt like he should be pulled for a series when I'm irritated with him during the game, but. . .

Anyone who really wants Nico right now is throwing in the white flag on the rest of the season.

We are 5-1 and a top15 team. We still have a shot at an absolutely incredible season with Milton. It's not worth risking that and potential injury just so Nico can get experience for next year.

For me, give him some playing time where you can (if we're up on KY, MO, Connecticut, Vandy). It is of course frustrating to watch Joe's inability to drive this team (WRs get blame as well) with the D being so strong. What would you say if Nico came in later in Ky or Connecticut and lights it up? Looks like a great game manager. I wish against USTA that they had kept Nico in and let Milton rest.

If Nico comes in vs the 1's and lights it up, you have to roll with him or face a lot of heat from the fans. Even if he plays in a blowout and looks incredible, you have to consider starting him. That may be some of the reasons we've not seen more of him in blowouts. I hope he gets plenty of reps during UCONN & Vandy and any other blowouts too.

Gave it a good go but might be done listening to the local pods. These dudes negative as fuhhhhc.

We’re 5-1!!! Ran all over the conference’s best rush D. Defense wreaked havoc. Gimme the positive vibes damn!
I have a facebook friend who is constantly bishing all game long on Saturdays. Bished a lot early last year and doesn't think Heupel is "the guy." Was ready to fire him after Florida.

He posted Saturday that we HAVE TO switch to Nico instead of "riding Milton to a mediocre season." All I said was, "We seem to be riding Milton to a pretty good season. We're 5-1."

We are a game away from bowl eligibility and we've proven we don't need the QB to be a star to win. Folks need to chill tf out. 8-4 I'd be fine with tbh. 9-3 would be a successful season and what I suspected. Anything more than that or a win over Bama/UGA would be pretty impressive.
