Us losing to UF really put us behind the 8 ball… they could back door their way into Atlanta if UGA drops to us and loses one more somewhere. We have to win out for a shot. If multiple teams had two loss UG would have tie break over us.
Them backdooring us in 2016 was the worst for me. We end up playing Bama and A&M (losing both) and then folding down the stretch to get them in. We literally defeated Florida and Georgia and didn't get in.

See...that's actually wrong. Even after our game, A&M is 6th in points (Bama is 9th), A&M is 7th in passing yards (Bama is 10th), A&M is 11th in rushing yards (Bama is 8th) and A&M is 8th in total yards (Bama is 10th)

A&M has played 3 of the top 6 defenses in the SEC (Bama, Us, Auburn) and Miami is a top 3 defense in the ACC. Bama has really only played 2 good defenses in A&M and Texas and we're actually better statistically than both of them.

We prevent Bama from running the ball at will and we've got a chance, their offense is a bottom feeder right now and our defense has been great.
Ok...but the A&M offense we just played against was not as good as the one that started the season.

7 pm kickoff @ Kentucky

in 2015 Kentucky started 4-1 with a close 14-9 loss to Florida. They proceeded to lose 6 of their next 7 games, and missed bowl eligibility.

We played them in Lexington in a 7:30pm kickoff. (Kentucky played every game after 7pm that season until November 7th at Georgia. Two nooners, one 4pm, NINE games after 7pm kickoff) when they were 4-3. I remember there was some misguided hope they'd right their ship with that game and get back in the win column.

We won 52-21.

ATM tried to shut down the run and make Milton beat them. We would have, too, if not for dropped passes and uncalled DPI. I posted pictures if you care to look, and don't want the filmy gauze of a game rewatch interfering with your Ziggy-Personal-Raincloud outlook.

Milton moved the chains with great throws and had three perfect long pass touchdowns fail due to no fault of his own, just in the first half.

Even when they stacked the box, we moved the ball and ran on them.

The offense isn't as horrid as you think. It just beat one of the best teams in the SEC. A rewatch shows that it doesn't need revamping, and isn't without hope.

This was absolutely the worst the passing game has looked this year, bar none. And it was still within a gnat's ash of clicking and absolutely murdering ATM.

There's no delusion or veil of unacceptable sunshine pumping there. It's an honest game rewatch, with pictures. Do we expect the passing offense to be this bad again? Probably not. Do we expect it to be Hooker-esque? Probably not.

But the decent passing offense we've seen the rest of the year, with this defense and this running attack, should give us a good chance against anyone this year.

And FTR, your defeatist "this is truth" predictions are just as much bull**** as the sunshine pumping windmills you're tilting at, Mr. Quixote.
Lol..ok..😁...I hope you're right Mr Halffull.

I love how James Pearce Jr is somehow getting ZERO love from sports media. ESPN would be organizing over him if he were a bammer.
Like when Danielson slobbed over the A&M linebacker with like 4 sacks saying "nobody in the country is doing it better than him right now" and we shut him down, while Pearce's stats are better and he went nuts on Saturday, terrorizing A&M all game long and they STILL wouldn't talk about him?
