Yall talking crap crack me up.
The whole point about Kirby making it in year 2 is that he was doing what he was supposed to be with the roster he was given. He had been to Atlanta and was a QB change away from winning it all. There was reason for UGA to believe in him.
The only thing Heup has done is choked in every chance he's had to make Atlanta or the playoffs.
That was the spot after the review. Originally, they gave us the first down. That spot on 3rd down cost us the 4th down conversion. Not that it ultimately had an impact after the INT, but it was a garbage spot (not sure if reviewable, but).
Refs are just in general are awful at spots
But when you have time to spot (and it's reviewable?) then you have to do better. The one thing they got right was getting the clock right at the end of the first half. 21s vs 42s
Also remember Butch's recruiting was tanking heading into Y4.You are hitting on something I’ve been thinking. Every year Heupel has been at Tennessee, we’ve been within one score of Bama headed into the fourth quarter. That probably hasn’t happened three years in a row in 20+ years.
If you are unimpressed, just recall what the first three years in each of the Butch, Dooley and Pruitt seasons were like. And recall Heupel inherited a worse situation than any of them.
We can start our own conference, include teams like App State, Vandy, the two VA schools, Nc Stste, UNC, maybe Clemson and USCjrI've said for the last few years the best way to fix this is to leave this corrupt conference. With expansion this league isn't what it used to be. Traditions are going by the wayside. There's not a better time to do it.
And that wasn’t on you drvenner. Sorry if it looked that way. I was saying I support your view. Milton did plenty to win.Lol. I don’t ever post but this is becoming the “football forum”. Everyone here prides themselves on not being that. Let’s abide. The sky isn’t falling. Heupel is our guy. We sucked second half. We are ahead of schedule
Not anti-Joe, but I'm not sure this sentiment is inaccurate either...Yeah that’s very telling of why we are handicapped right now. On Joe Milton’s best day of his career he is just average.
I feel like Kiffin is one of the allies you hinted at in the last lineAll this is true. But UT has been significantly handicapped by scheduling and the NCAA investigation. And UT has had a lot of self-inflicted wounds that have made the program vulnerable. Now that the NCAA investigation is over, UT does not have to curry favor or accept things for the good of the conference. TSIO could go away-- and Bama with it. Most of all, UT needs to win. With winning comes power.
UT does have some support. You might be surprised-- or not-- to know which coaches would be our allies.
