Barnes is Kershaw personal catcher....if Kershaw comes back..Barnes does as well
Doesn't mean he shouldn't be the first one to go. Love what Kersh has meant to and done for the franchise, but I don't really see what he adds at this point. Wasting a roster spot in addition to a pitching spot for the sake of sentimentality is not smart management.

Lol is this from a fan blog or what? Just wild speculation being treated as a “likely” scenario. And points to LSU beating Bama….at LSU…at night…by 1 point….in OT. And the justification is bc LSU lost on the road to A&M.

Did Michigan Football share information on the Vols and Tigers with the Gamecocks? Is that how those two teams managed to lose to that program, one that, again, was left for dead?

The loss was clearly devastating for both teams, so it seems likely.

The media will drive this topic in the ground...even though this kind of stuff happens regularly..difference is other schools didn't get caught...

Are you questioning and/or doubting the credibility of information published by Dave "Off the Hook" Hooker?

Only because its Bama and Tuscaloser. Oh, and because it happens week in and week out. People are acting like this is a one off thing.

Can anyone say that this year has had a single well officiated game?View attachment 590228
What do you call a well officiated game....how many missed calls are you okay with in any game not just the Vols game??...jw

The conspiracy of Michigan giving signs and signals to potential CFP competition and potential teams to jump loser of osu-um game makes sense for a few reasons:

-all of the teams that Michigan went to “scout” ended up losing vs a inferior opponent after said “scouting” occured: bama vs lsu, us and clemson vs uscjr, lsu vs a&m, oregon vs washington and OSU

-uscjr seemed to call the perfect plays vs our defense EVERY sing play

Michigan wanted insurance that if they lost vs osu, that they would still make playoffs, so they gave teams like a&m, uscjr, oregon state, etc the signs they stole so that those teams would upset the teams that had a realistic chance at jumping them if they lost vs osu or the big10 championship

Alabama's second half strategy involved attacking the edge running the ball and holding our DEs. They got away with murder holding our linemen. Our guys definitely were outplayed in the second half, but Alabama doesn't put up 20 points on offense without the help.
That is exactly how the officials manipulated it.

Notice I left out that the holding was egregious, that the fix er the officials somehow noticed a LB hold his hand up, but couldnt see players kick, punch, and put an choke hold on TB.

All that aside, we got punched in the nose and had no answer. We got out talented and out coached.

Moving on. I hope we remember what it feels like getting punched, while the bully's friends hold your arms back. Essentially that's what it is.

Halzle needs to realize that getting cute, and getting away from what we are good at, doesnt help. This team isnt the quick score every play type. Go fast, run, run. And run.

We should really thump Kentucky, get it done.
They will not let us win Saturday....and since when does officials screwing your side over become "outcoached".

We got cheated...period.

i thought the refs were trash but i don’t agree with everyone talking about some of the holding calls… The one/two i have seen posted against Baron should have been called…. Having decent positioning and having a fist full of jersey is what we teach lineman to do from youth leagues on up… It is the defensive players job to keep the lineman from getting their hands on you.
Every...f'n...time...

With money the SEC has, $750 million in fiscal 2022, and the stage in which this is set. I would say 0 screwed up calls. However, in reality - of the calls made - I would say 1 gaffe per game would constitute a well officiated game.

The inherent issues are:
-Relative low paid employees @$58K
-Overly complex, archaic, and contradictory rule sets with overly broad definitions
-Little to no accountability for job performance
- Little to no control over the 'human factors) ie biases. Attorneys cross examine jurors for these biases.

I would think that with 8K TV, cameras at every angle, and an NFL War Room - tested and proven - that there are ways to improve the game. I dont think there is a conspiracy against TN, really.

But, if officiating is so poor that it is noticeable during 100% if games, theres an issue. There should never be a 105-5 disparity between any teams.

Basilio’s blog has some great info about 4th downs.

Last year Vols converted 67% of 4th downs.

This year Vols are converting 23% of 4th downs.

The blog also has some nice detail about how aggressive Heupel is on 4th & 7 or less since taking over at Tennessee:

For the last couple of years people have been expressing concerns over NIL and the effect on the integrity of the game. IMO, league offices that enable certain "premier" teams to thrive in the name of ratings and money, the increase in online gambling, and this deal about sign-stealing are more of a threat. I know some of you get tired of hearing this, but even at our HS level we have people that offer to film opponents sideline to gather information. We have other people who are so-called "handlers" who will entice kids to transfer in for a finder's fee. Getting ridiculous. Just prepare your team to perform to the best of your ability and play the DAMN game. You shouldn't need extra information, help from officials and governing bodies, or anything else to determine an outcome. If you do, don't act shocked when your players lack integrity in their personal lives and careers.

Wish Kaidon Salter could have kept his head on straight.

He seems to be doing well Running and Throwing this year at Liberty. 26 TD’s total and 2500 total yards so far to 3 int’s.

I wish we didn't kick off players for a plant while Alabama keeps players after they're arrested for felony possession of stolen firearms and narcotics. Even the courts let them off but god forbid you get a simple possession charge in Knoxville.

Don't stop believin...

I think for Salter it was 4 strikes and you’re out. He did a lot of other stuff to get kicked out.
