I think it is good to clarify that description. Lazy and no work ethic only applies to football. He is a great young man who will most likely have a great career in the business world. But football is really just a means to an end for him; a free education and the network he is a part of as a former UT player. Football is not a passion for him. Football is not important enough to him for him to fulfill his physical potential. He is not uber competitive or driven on the football field.A good friend of mine teaches at his high school. He told me 2 years ago he was extremely overrated. Lazy with no work effort. Barring some extreme change with him he will never contribute
Problem is Missouri has 3 receivers which one you taking away...Burden is obvious choice...61 receptions 14.8 yds a grab....okay that leaves Wease Jr.and Cooper with 36 and 28 grabs averaging 12.5 yds per catch between them.....Brady Cook hitting 69.8% of passes 15touchdowns and 3 picks makes him a big problem...Call me crazy but mizzou doesn’t worry me. Not saying that it will be easy. But we’ve been running the ball on much better fronts. If we play defense and take away their main guy like we did legette for South Carolina I think we see a similar outcome.
I just wish we would quit with the staunch alternating of each RB each series. Wright goes hot to start the game and then BAM. Small’s up and totally kill the flow. I understand we have a 3 headed monster at RB but sometimes you gotta stay with the hot hand. I’m just venting, don’t really have a good resolution.Joking aside, Wright and Sampson on field at the same time could be a matchup nightmare.
Play before that they let extra seconds run off tooProbably something to do with the fact that Squirrel was down with :10 left and our striped friends let the clock run down to :07 before crediting us with the first down stoppage and timeout.

Mccollough or however you spell it got on his ass immediately I rememberDidn’t see this addressed (tho I’m sure it’s been mentioned), but as an Eli Herring advocate who appreciates the strides he’s made this season, it’s inexcusable to repeat the clapping hand delay of game penalty from the previous week. It’s ok to do what works until your hand gets slapped. Doubling down with the brand name of the ruler still imprinted, smacks of lack of football intelligence imo.
Pretty sure it was the front seven stopping their running game most of the time. Our secondary was playing way off and dropping further back at the snap. I get playing that zone against a running QB so the secondary has their eyes on the QB more often, but Leary isn't that guy. Same thing with how they played Mertz in the first half against Florida. My opinion is they do a lot better playing up on the receivers and forcing them to win 1-on-1, make more contested catches, and forcing the QB to make tougher decisions and more accurate throws. But this exactly how we nullified their running game. Imagine if we allowed Davis to go for 200 yards. We are not quite good enough to play like Bama and Georgia on defense. We must take away the other team's strength and dare them to beat us with their second best option.
Seems like we rotate a lot in first half then second half they roll hot hand majority of timeI just wish we would quit with the staunch alternating of each RB each series. Wright goes hot to start the game and then BAM. Small’s up and totally kill the flow. I understand we have a 3 headed monster at RB but sometimes you gotta stay with the hot hand. I’m just venting, don’t really have a good resolution.
