Watching the game...how in the heck is Pearce able to throw these OL around like he does?...and he is just a sophomore...he is just going to get stronger..

The only way Kentuckies cheating OL was able to keep him off Leary was by grabbing him...I just watched one play in the 3rd in particular and the OL literally stuck his arm down JPs jersey collar and jerked him back around as JP was running by after knocking the OL straight backwards several feet right off the snap.

They were doing this to our DEs on both sides on literally almost every drop back to one degree or another.

He’s a redshirt freshman who has been trying to learn a position (Center) that he’s never played. They finally gave up on that experiment because he’s not a natural snapper. He could very well end up a good player at Guard, but it’s way too early to know. This off-season will be big for him.
There's too many unilateral declarations on this board for too little valid process. Addison Nichols has the physical metrics and appears to have the mental package. He'll get the chance to expand on that or settle for being depth with this staff imo. They found a way to get production from Dayne Davis, Jermaine Crawford and Ollie Lane with much less to offer in upside. There's a culture with our big uglies that begins with enrollment. Then Kurt Schmidt and his boys start building your core and Ethan Bauer and the nutrition staff make sure you don't Crawford it away all before Ellarbee shows you how to put it together for the field. Being impatient as a fan and demanding instant gratification neither hastens nor slows what we end up seeing...it's immaterial.

I have had my fair share of moments questioning Milton this year. There have been times where I have wanted to move on and play Nico. But, it is getting exhausting seeing so many of our fans continuing to try and blame any of the adversity or struggles this team faces strictly on Joe. Honestly, Joe has played pretty well these past two weeks in two tough road games and our defense has been the annoyance.

We scored 33 points on the road last night, Joe played arguably his best game as a Vol, yet it is shocking how many of our own fans said Joe played poorly and almost cost us this game. We’re 6-2 or better after Halloween for just the 6th time in the 21st century….

It happens a lot, but when the clock is under :10 and you let 3 whole seconds run off, it’s completely inexcusable.
Or you could be like Stoops and let 15 seconds run off the clock, tell the refs you didn’t understand the rules, and they run the clock back and allow you to call a timeout to get those 15 seconds back.

If the development isn’t there from Spring to Fall to Spring…this staff is obligated to move on to other players. The portal doesn’t ensure a better player but it ensures a chance at a better player.

He played a really good game and made a couple of really smart plays last night. Basically none of the problems last night were on him. If people are going to dog him, they need to give credit where it's due.

I thought once you run a play the previous play cannot be reviewed as well.

So take wild stabs at players developed (or not) by other programs and giving faith to percentage "chances"? Maybe one or two such creatures are out there and an impovement...MAYBE. Going all out for 4-5 wholesale changes is kinda bolsch. I simply don't believe there are hordes of these finished products done better by different coaches...jmo.

Agree…….

They should allow them to use a student coach if the university tries to cop out on paying an interim or whatnot. It wouldn't be hard to keep them playing if the real point is just to keep playing. He's not wrong that keeping them together in a time of grief and giving them an outlet for it is important.

Soo, my hot take was spot on. What a selfish and idiotic decision. Again, is it about YOU or is it really about the decedant?

I dont know any if these people. But a coward would use untimely death of ANY young person, to duck a difficult situation.

He won’t go 1st round, but if Joe continues to make incremental improvements from week to week these last 4 games and plays as well as he did last night, I think we’ll end up 9-3 and Joe will get drafted higher than we think. You know he is going to crush the combine with how freakishly athletic he is.

And if you look at Anthony Richardson’s stats from last year and compare them to Milton’s this year, Milton is on pace to exceed Richardson in nearly every statistical category.
