Recruiting Football Talk VII

I think we're definitely getting officiating bias against us this season...I am more curious of why though. It could be SEC hate straight up, could be the zebras hate towards tempo, but it could also be the "unofficial" punishment from the SEC for the Pruitt situation. I think the league was not happy about how much information we handed out freely to the NCAA when sticking it to Pruitt. One reason I believe this to be the case is how collectively the coaches, players, and AD are dodging and staying pretty silent about officiating in general.

So I almost get the vibe that the SEC has given some sort of reply that says "this is what you're going to endure." I think after that Ole Miss game in year 1 they (SEC/officials) backed off last year because they didn't want to appear to be screwing one of the best teams in conference. But this year I think at this point it seems pretty hard to dispute something fishy is going on well above simple incompetency in officiating cause if that was truly the case we wouldn't keep seeing the same familiar faces in stripes for our games.
The SEC is not coordinating anything against. If anything it’s just bad officiating.

Heard Chris Doering going on and on about the “fight” of South Carolina. Guy said “ I can’t say enough ab Shane Beamer and his ability to get this team ready to fight” lol not even kidding. Is he actually watching games? He’s spinning it hard. You would think Carolina won on Saturday. I know he loves Shane and always has but damn man.
Doering is a Florida fan. He, like many of us want Beamer to be there for a very long time.

As someone from Kentucky, first there are some good people there, not many, but there's a few 🤣. The sports fans, they're either strung out on meth, or too much coal dust on the brain. There's zero logic in anything they say, ever, about sports.

Same could be said about UT fans honestly

I don’t drink sensitive, progressive brewskis. So pocket your debit card. Let me handle my own bullet points. Show me where I stated the coaches would make a CONSCIOUS DECISION “not to upgrade”. I don’t think all these instant, upgraded starters are ready to pick up on an Amazon wish list. You and others follow the VQ party line that current OL on the roster have been gitshirted and a Deion Sanders level overhaul is in the works. I disagree. Don’t take it personal, cupcake.

It’s not a decision…it’s a calling. 😉 Person as uptight and literal as yourself suggesting I “chill”’is it’s own comedy.
You are so much better than me at this...I just ain't that eloquent with my orneriness...😉

I think he loves the idea of playing Beamer for years to come. CD is a gator.

If we can actually get descent officiating the remainder of the year (yeah I know, good luck with that) even if it's just them starting to call holding on the opposing Oline, then i think we have a legitimate shot to win out... But only if we can get some even officiating... It will just be crazy at this point with so much spotlight and hard video evidence that we are getting screwed, if they keep it up during the ga game in Neyland... You will know then this 'ish is just straight up fixed and corrupt. I won't be surprised if they keep it up at mizz though... They are doing well and this would be a big win for them sooooo... screw UT...

I mean, if this is true- then wouldn’t saban want anyone else but Georgia in the sec tittle game played in Atlanta?

In other words - wouldn’t Georgia be getting screwed by calls as well?
Not really, he only plays GA in the championship game. Skank never schedules them in the regular season for a reason. Skanks wants the two that meet in Atlanta to be as unscathed as possible so to afford the best opportunity for both to be in the playoffs regardless of the outcome.

Saban got beat by the Vols last year in spectacular fashion. That does not go unpunished.

But the SEC is the only one in power that can fix the issue. So even if you're correct, no response is an issue. If Saban feels he gets screwed by a crew do you think they officiate his game again that season?

Would have to pull off a major upset. Gonna be big dogs at home to UGA.

Yeah those drive me more insane than the missed holding. Because like most former OL say "there's holding on every play, it's just a question of are they going to call it or not" but when it's a deep ball 1 on 1 and you got at least 2 officials watching it how do you miss those?
That’s true and nobody wants it called on every play.
It’s the beyond obvious, OL was beat so they tackle, headlock, grab onto anything to keep the QB from getting wrecked that are impossible to miss, yet not called that make you wonder

The beautiful situation is that Mizzou goes to Georgia this weekend and we play at home against UConn.

So the Tigers who have cupcake crushed to 1 loss (losing to LSU the only really good team they've faced) will get handled either by Georgia or by the officials...either way it's going to take a proper miracle for them to get out with a win. Now if Georgia didn't still have to face Ole Miss and Us I could see that being their "what happened" upset loss of the season, but since the dogs can't punch the ticket to Atlanta just yet they need this win and the league will help them get it.

I've been wondering all year what the firing of Harbaugh's assistant offensive coordinator over university computer use was about, how and why the substance of that was suppressed, how Harbaugh got a pass on it without explanation, and why the media immediately "forgot" it like it had never happened.

Look at this! From a Michigan blog.

In all fairness, I don't think the OM game was us getting cheated as much as just incompetence. However I think the Bama and UK games this year have proven there is a clear bias, and I still think the worst is yet to come. Imo the second half of the Bama game will look like child's play if the UGA game is close late.
I think the OM game was rigged: Baron's TD taken off the board, the spot too wrong to be mere accident imo, etc. It kept OM alive for a NY6 bowl and punished us for succeeding while being (self) punished to avert even more punishment, which was assessed wrongly anyway.

I suppose rigging of the Pitt (just look at the amazingly horrible spot alone) and Purdue (overthetop a la Bama rigging) games were on the ACC. But I'll add that if something were done like that to Bama, Sankey would have gone completely ballistic rather than keeping his satisfied silence.

But I'm afraid I have to agree with you about the rest, checker. Very good points, and they're dreadful to be forced to think about.

I would add the second half of the Florida game this year (which stole our comeback imo), the PIs in the TAMU game (though we overcome them), and the unbelievable (if it happened to any other team in the SEC) way that our second non-conference game was officiated. A blind eye to literal muggings, in that one.
