We're historically @ #10, #11 or #12 I believe. It's not too much to ask for our program to be a consistent top10 team.
Probably going to end up inside top 10 after Heupel's tenure. He can get us to 10+ win seasons pretty regularly I believe. Especially reaching the playoffs and playing those extra games. people forget we still have some of pruitts players on our roster, and not the higher rated guys that left. Our best football with Heupel is ahead of us.We're historically @ #10, #11 or #12 I believe. It's not too much to ask for our program to be a consistent top10 team.
Hey I get it. We have been mediocre for so long that its hard to remember us being dominant. You may very well be right and me wrong. Only time will tell.I just disagree. I haven’t seen enough evidence to persuade me we can in the modern college football era. I don’t think for a moment it is due to lack of effort or want to from the coaches, particularly in the early parts of their tenures.
I just can’t see them not giving it to the guy with over 3500 passing yards and 1000 rushing yards with over 40 TD’s. Which is even crazier because he didn’t run vs Grambling or Army and got pulled after halftime in both games as well and missed the whole 4th quarter of bama gameIt goes to Harrison IMO.
I hope they do give it to him, im just so used to it being a guy on a playoff team that ill be shocked if it goes to someone not on one.I just can’t see them not giving it to the guy with over 3500 passing yards and 1000 rushing yards with over 40 TD’s. Yea that’s fair. I think if it’s not Daniels it’ll probably be givin to Penix. Unless Harrison goes insane the next couple gamesI hope they do give it to him, im just so used to it being a guy on a playoff team that ill be shocked if it goes to someone not on one.
There was that one. Hell of a tackle. They tackled? Would be first time they’ve done it this season.
Just something to think about, he's also more fragile in body type than Joe. You can ruin a young guy, especially behind a sub par o line, and lets be honest outside of run blocking they haven't been very good this year. Serviceable pass blocking at times to plain suspect. And that isn't likely to change overnight or next season either. We can only hope it just gets better. Early returns on our young o linemen is about as discouraging as it could get.If Nico is legit I disagree. Qb play is really hindering our explosiveness. He runs way better than Joe. That mitigates any potential OL issues. Should have good backs. WR should be better. D needs a piece or two in the portal for sure. But I wouldn’t write off next year just yet. I think Nico will be dynamic and that will give us a chance in every game.
Agree.. If what I have heard is correct, an 8 game conference schedule continuing even with Texas and Oklahoma joining next year, and it remains 8 conference games, is an advantage for the Vols. Under that scenario, 9-3 is a good baseline and not 8-4 for a 12 game regular season. Now, if I'm wrong, and it's a 9 game conference schedule, then @Revived2002 has more of an argument for 8-4 being the baseline. Not playing Bama, Gators, and Dawgs annually is going to be more of an advantage than what I believe some realize at this time.
