I'm stating their philosophy, which they are upfront about, not saying I agree with it. It's not just CJH; it's the entire staff.Sounds like a dumb philosophy to be honest. That’s just my opinion of course, but sometimes “loyalty” can get you in trouble. We have a lot of young talent and some of the older guys continue to make the same boneheaded and dumb mistakes. I think it is fair to question how long Heupel will find success here if his entire basis for playing guys is just based on experience. In the era of the transfer portal as well, if you don’t play talent early it will leave.
Expecting bama or UGA level success is absurd. Yeah yesterday is disappointing, especially after last season. But I think the trajectory of the program is in a good spot. Don’t jump ship on the coaches just yet. Be upset, but be here to support
As always, saying I would be okay if we went 8-4 before the season is always easier than actually watching us go 8-4 lol.
Who said anything about my W-L expectations for the season?

It puts UT at a crossroads-- adapt or dig in harder.
Nico's RS status is of no consequence.
This staff's philosophy is to play older, experienced players and develop talent behind them. They're playing the guys they want to play. CJH decided pre-season that Joe was their guy and he has reiterated this all year. Injuries have impacted their plan somewhat, but they convinced some of these older guys to come back and they're playing them.
That’s simply not true. Every QB Huep has had outside of Hooker is less mobile and a worse runner than Milton. Lock and Gabriel were very reluctant to run especially Gabriel. Mackenzie was about on par with Milton with taking off running
