They wanted three years of stability, and they got it. Now it's going to domino, and CJH has been resistant to that. Shuffling staff and promoting from within toes the line between maintaining stability and getting stale. A new DC has to be able to make changes and bring a fresh perspective. And the existing staff has to be open to that. Just need to be sure it's productive change, not change for the sake of change. Most likely lose BJM when Banks leaves. Martinez contract is up in January. That’s three gone. You move Eckler to ST coach only and bring in a new DB, DC, and LB coach. Pretty easy.
We have enough money to get whatever DC we want. Danny White will be sure we get whoever we want. Football drives the operation and we have to have it running well.
8-4 was bare minimum for the season unless we were a bad team. Our schedule was soft and we lost to every decent team we played.Your expectations were out of line with reality.
We lost a Heisman finalist, a Biletnikoff winner, another absolute stud at WR, a top 10 overall drafted OL, another stud on the OL, an animal on the DL, our do it all H-back, our OC….
….and you expected what, 10 wins again? 9-3 was always an extremely successful season for this year’s team with 8-4 a real and likely possibility.
Heupel I’m good with. The puppet OC Halzle I don’t care for but my problem is mostly with the defensive side of the ball, particularly the DC and the back half. It's gonna be funny watching how fast the window lickers flip from being out on Heupel to being mad A&M could come for him.
Some folks need to get their head out of their arse and realize we have one of the top coaches in the country, period.
I think that course has been set for awhile. He’s been more highly regarded than Demeco Ryans, but locked in with the Pats as Belichick’s successor imo.If Vrabel happened to go back to Patriots as HC...do you think Mayo would even consider coming back to college to be a DC or is his goal to be a HC in NFL? As of now isn't his title CO-DC of Patriots???.
So are you anticipating a new dc for next year? They wanted three years of stability, and they got it. Now it's going to domino, and CJH has been resistant to that. Danny white will have input but it will be who Heup wants too. He won’t let money be a problem if it is who will get us winning.Pretty sure Heupel will be making the hire, not DW. Unless you just mean that DW won’t allow money to stop Heup from getting who he wants when/if that time comes.
Which it won’t bc we’re still 3rd in the SEC giving up 20.2 ppg. Bama is at 18.1 and UGA 15.6
i use to feel this way but now i realize how hard it is to win any game….. As long as we are growing…. we don’t need to get too over the top with our complaints…. There are obviously things that need to be worked on and hopefully Heup can keep growing this program.8-4 was bare minimum for the season unless we were a bad team. Why would they hire Heupel? What has he done that would get them over an Orange bowl win in 2021 over UNC and 8-4 seasons they’re accustomed to?It's gonna be funny watching how fast the window lickers flip from being out on Heupel to being mad A&M could come for him.
