2023 vs 2022 common SEC opponents:

USCjr (3.4 ppg worse)
UF (0.0 ppg better/worse)
UK (8.7 ppg better)
Bama (7.5 ppg worse)
Mizzou (8.0 ppg better)
SEC West opponent (-.3 ppg worse)

Overall: 5.5 ppg better

(And yes if you factor in UGA and Vandy they'd end up better)
He said he doesn’t care about numbers said he only cares about what his eyes see lol

Again that is winning football in today’s game. What was the average for those same games last year? Also take into account where they were played.
That’s not even taking all variables into consideration. We ran 3 offensive plays the entire first quarter yesterday. The defense played soft and let them drive the entire field. They didn’t adjust and just kept at it. They will score less when you aren’t aggressive and give easy completions.

If the other team has the ball 45 minutes, it’s hard to score enough to beat someone who can score over 28.

Why not put A&M in with other SEC teams? Just wondering how you decided to separate
🏳️🏳️🏳️🏳️🏳️🏳️🏳️ Raising white flag because it doesn't matter ..what I think or anyone else thinks....CJH will decide whether to keep Banks or not...his team his decision.....Although for his sake I hope every which decision he makes is the rite one....

Ppg is not the only stat as to a defense.

Winston gonna take the starting job back from Carr

Edit: Maybe not after that INT. His second td was also a questionable decision throwing across the field that usually backfires.

Did we not play cupcakes last year? heck we couldn’t even sack ball state and had 2 TFL’s. We have more sacks in 10 games than we did in 13 games last year, the same amount of INT’s and TFL’s. We sacked cook 3 times, Milroe 4 times, rattler 6 times, hit Johnson on more than half his drop backs.

Are you even watching the games?
Are you?

Missouri had the ball almost 42 minutes last year and we scored 63.

According to these guys, statistically the D played a great 1st qtr. Held them to 3 points. 🤣

26.5 if you add A@M in with other SEC teams. In case anyone else was wondering
Why does ppg tell the entire story of a defense and how it’s ranked in your mind?

How about yards given up?
Time of possession?
Drives sustained against the defense?
Third down conversion rates
Turnovers
Etc.

I would say playing soft makes your ppg look better because you are limiting big plays and limiting possessions. But giving your offense only three plays in one quarter is horrendous and doesn’t show up on a stat line.

We were way more aggressive last year and it led to teams scoring more against us. But it gave our offense more chances to score and more possessions.
