So no blame for the **** officiating that let that FCS team hold for 80% of the game and also took a clear fumble away?

Offense played bad save a few drives, but AP moved the ball solely because of bad officiating.
AP scoring 13 on us was not the reason we looked bad. Maybe we watched different games.

We ran the ball very well and defense played phenomenal. But the tape is out on how to beat Joe Milton. I hate it for Joe I want him to succeed but it’s between his ears.
Pretty much my thoughts. In the last 4 games since Joe has been a starter Tennessee is 11/45 (24.4%) putrid on 3rd downs. 3 of those games were against cupcakes. Going to need WAY more consistency than that to win 10 games this season IMO. Can’t leave the rest of the team out to dry like that

Do you think Nico gets some run if Joe struggles against UF and we lose? I know they think he is special.
Gosh I hope so. Can’t stand a L to them. Especially when they are total garbage. Down at halftime…. UT has to make something happen in that situation. Saban put a rookie quarterback in for the national championship at halftime and it saved them a championship. No reason why Heupel can’t do the same IF UT is struggling

He's been getting targeted far more often, but he's actually been doing a great job with it. Everybody notices the PI calls, but even if you count a PI call as a 15 yard reception, he's only giving up 2.9 yards per target while breaking up 31% of his targets. His aggressiveness will bring the PI calls, but statistically, the strategy is paying off in the long run.

Interesting Burrell isn't getting targeted at all....

I’m just mentally preparing for a loss and hoping to be surprised because if I go in expecting us to win I’m going to have a bad time.

I think there is a comp to last year's Michigan team to this year's vols (minus O-Line)... multiple dynamic rbs, stout def, and a QB that is told not to lose the game or throw picks. Joe and last year JJ look similar to me. Joe has higher potential if he puts it together, but JJ McCarthy had three games throwing for 250+ and only got to 2700 passing because he played in 2 extra games.

I watched the first half and the first series of the second half. Maybe I’m just too positive, but it was better than I remember while being there. Bru has to make that first catch. That was a drop. Squirrel and Thornton had clear drops. One miss in the end zone to Bru was the correct side to miss, and Bru really didn’t extend much. Another miss to Bru could have been called PI. The OPI and holding stalled one drive. Milton hit 10 straight passes at one point. I’m not going to suggest that Milton was “good,” but no one helped him at all. I believe we will see more wrinkles (as in, specific called plays) going forward. Milton was just throwing where he’s been taught based on numbers.

Keyton had a bad drop as well, but I just wonder if the drops happened because Joe put too much velo behind the ball and it got there before the recievers were expecting it.

His Offense coordinator may be feeling an opportunity to move up. I'm just saying.

They probably should promote Petrino. He’s a good coach. Best proven winner they’re going to get that’s available. He’s fixed their putrid offense in just a few months while their defense has totally fallen apart without Mike Elko

I would bet Nico doesn’t play in florida game even if we were to lose by multiple touchdowns. And I bet he gets time second half of utsa regardless of how the florida game goes.

Yup. Jimbo only as good as the assistants he hires.
