Watching the replay and blown away by all these drops on the first couple drives. The throws are a bit off, but come on, that's just college football. That play where Joe avoids the sack, rolls out left, and hits Thornton in the hands on the sideline only for it be dropped. Man...

The coaches weren't trying to be vanilla Saturday; the offense wasn't executing to plan. Nobody wants to succeed more than Joe Milton, but Game Joe is not the same as Practice Joe, and the receivers had difficulty adjusting. When the adrenaline is pumping, Joe tends to throw high or behind the receivers. He ups the velocity. The WRs are being asked to catch difficult balls. Trying to balance a talented, but inconsistent, QB with very good WRs who're not getting the ball they expect creates what we saw Saturday. We'll just take the W and continue to find a workaround for games where Joe isn't at his best and the WRs aren't hauling in the catches.
We're gonna have to lean heavy on the running game. We've got some very talented backs and Wright is primed for a big year. He has to get the bulk of the touches. Hopefully it can open the passing game up. Joe not hitting routine passes is an issue. He's had plenty of games and practices to figure things out.

I'm a big supporter of Joe and I wish he would explode, but it's more unlikely. We need the Joe from the Clemson game. He looked loose, had patience, and made the right reads and check downs. I'm for waiting it out and seeing what he can do in a big game. We haven't had one yet this season.

So let it be written, so let it be done…

Coach Huep, and Danny White. May I humbly request that we have two unis? Orange and white.

And once a year we don Smokey Gray, or Dark mode.

Furthermore. If you see an orange hemet anywhur, you move quickly to recycle it. The other unis may be auctioned off.

Receivers have to do better too. Hopefully having Cooper back helps up the middle. I have a suspicion we’ll see a lot of the running game
We stick to the run game and we’ll beat uf even if by a close, heart pounding margin. We lean pass and aren’t better than we were against AP and we could lose. That said if we pass better than we did against AP then we should win by a comfortable margin. I’m expecting the game to be “close” until early in the 4th quarter and hope at that point we start pulling away.

The Thornton one and the Jabari small drop on the screen pass were brutal and plays that have to be made.

The other ones you’d like to see Joe be a bit more accurate on, but would also like to see at least 1-2 of those caught.

All in all, offense still getting in a rythm. Also think we’ll see Joe run more going forward. He hasn’t kept many read options at all so far I think partly by design.

Keyton had a bad drop as well, but I just wonder if the drops happened because Joe put too much velo behind the ball and it got there before the recievers were expecting it.
The drops by Bru, Squirrel, and Thornton were normal passes. Small dropped a screen in the second that wasn’t perfect but catchable. I believe Milton was throwing through traffic. Because of how Milton’s career started, he’s going to be the most scrutinized QB we’ve had in a while. It’s almost a little unfair.

I hate to say this, cause love him as our former coach. But Fulmer was not a good hiring boss. He wanted a yes man.
Fulmer was great for UT but our administration, at the end, was terrible. I really can't put all the failure on Fulmer. If you cut him, I'm sure he'll bleed Orange.

I am going with the belief that no matter what Tennessee was going to beat APSU. Tennessee spent last week preping for Florida. Apsu did things that they werent prepared for. Ive had many conversations with JJ Clark Peays DC. He is a really good young coach and had his dudes ready to play.

They went all out to try to beat Tennessee and they came in with a great game plan. Thatcoaching staff is top notch
Then what happened to that "top notch" staff the week before?...cause they sucked that week.

Also, obviously we want to see Joe do better, but he was at least hitting the screen stuff effectively. Those passes are out quick and on the money consistently. Going to reserve the rest of my judgement for Saturday, I think we're going to see a different offense.

That lady has problems and wouldn’t surprise me if she has lied about everything.

This all smells like garbage....I think MSU saw a way out if that ridiculous contract and took it.

I actually almost feel sorry for Mel Tucker...almost, he was a total idiot for ever getting involved with an evil banshee like that.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Joe is making the right throws he’s just throwing the ball slightly high/behind or Nolan Ryan fastballs.
I agree. He is making good decisions and throwing to open guys. That’s so improved. He is just missing accuracy still in those short and intermediate throws. But it’s on tape now and everyone is going to make him sustain drives and hit those. If he and the receivers start hitting those, we will be unstoppable. If not, this offense won’t click.

That and he's being compared to Hooker who was just special.

Highlight reel play. For naught

I’m still all in on Joe and think he will have a great year. I can’t believe how many people are writing him off already. It’s absurd
I think there’s a difference between writing someone off completely Vs thinking what you’ve seen trend wise in a player AND the entire offense under that player has been while being the starter. Two different things imo. Most hope for the best obviously but lowered expectations for the offense/passing game. Basically echoing what LA Vol had stated earlier. Hopefully fans keep it largely respectful to the player and his family

I expect a healthy dose of the run game, bubble screen and passes to RBs in the flat early. Let them creep up. Then throw play action in. Hardly any play action passing last 2 weeks.

I bet the tight ends eat. I predict a TD for Warren and Castles. We loosen a defense early and then hit them big down the middle and sideline. UF will focus on the deep ball and wideouts. We haven’t shown much to the tight end yet and I bet we do a lot this week.
