Man the love for Deion is so weird...

4-6 and 2nd to last in the Pac-12 one of the worst defenses in all of college football. His lack of a run game makes the Air Raid offenses look like damn Army.

All this after he overhauled and bought his entire roster basically, but yeah "give him a break cause you can't get the talent to Colorado" well, why did he take the job then... oh I know control. You think A&M is going to let Deion have that same level?

Now if it was Arkansas...Jerry Jones might have enough pull to make it happen. I'm not sure if A&M needs the "buzz" that Deion brings since they already have a fanbase that shows up to games regardless.
Deion would alienate their fanbase. He would be a horrendous choice.

Their fans would love that hire.
aTm fans are about to learn what we already know. aTm might not find so many "splash" names willing to take this job on. It's the SEC. Texas and OU joining the league. Expectations at aTm are incredibly high in light of what they've actually accomplished. No matter who takes the job, there won't be a honeymoon phase. They'll be expected to win from the jump and if not, there's a chance you get the boot in year 3. I suspect they'll likely be forced to do what we did. Go with a young guy from a lower level or a lesser program in D1 and hope you hit it out of the park. More reasonable to hope for a solid hire who can get you 8-9 wins a year with the occasional 10 win season. With the "new" SEC and playoff format, that might be good enough from time to time to make a cameo in the expanded playoffs. In short, they might luck out and be like UT.

You can take pills for that.
You sir deserve a Like.

Interesting. I didn't follow the situation last year so I didn't know there was bad blood. He's playing great right now, but I think it would be fun to see what he could do in a power 5 conference.
All the QB's felt they couldn't make a mistake or they would get pulled out. It affected how each played. His brother does play LB at TCU and their QB room isn't great. Not huge fans of Briles though. There's lots of interest and chatter and if he does leave I would guess Baylor, TT, or TCU. This is 100% speculative but it isn't easy to get to Virginia to watch him especially with weird ass weekday games.

Cheating Harbaugh is de facto cleared for the playoffs (which otherwise would have been contested). Michigan gets to pretend they are a "victim." CFP, NCAA, Big 10 all have their fake excuses rubber-stamped now to do nothing, which was their desire. Fans have been distracted from the fact that Michigan already compromised the integrity of last year's CFP; going for two in a row. Most fans can't remember the entire pile of rule-breaking at Michigan (including the still standing allegations filed by the NCAA against Michigan last year. Remember? Harbaugh responded by lying to the NCAA (what a pearl of a guy he is) and the NCAA responded to that by giving Michigan another year to make the playoffs before doing anything or maybe nothing again.) The clown-show like coverage of the signal scandal displaced memories of the active allegations and current (pre-existing) NCAA stall. But "we can haz funny memes."

Who could have guessed? 😂 Crooked enforcement no-call (so to speak) doing business as back-door permission (impunity) covered by farcical soap-opera distraction for the public.

Still hope Michigan displaces Bama from the playoffs if necessary because Sabey is the bigger crook.

I had basically had all of the blatant rigging I could take after the Kentucky game proved that it was not going to stop -- even when there was no need of it for, in the event that advancing favorites were the explanation. It must be worse than even that. That had the accidental effect that I was perhaps not as upset as others last week. I've just about given up on Birmingham Alabama's SEC football league as more than a farce and a crime scene. I've been reluctant to say, but there it is.
To me, the only good thing about Texas and OU coming into the conference is that they won’t put up with this kind of bull. They are used to being the bullies on the block.

If Small returns I think he returns with the knowledge that he's a role player. Sampson is RB1. Small would be the next guy up. Seldon would be RB2. But I could see Seldon replacing Small during the season like Sampson did.

Why wouldn’t Small return?

Yeah I think Small and Sampson get majority of attempts and Seldon will have an opportunity to prove himself and earn more. But everyone here has been counting out Small every season.
