And honestly, if officiating got bad enough where it risk the health of our players.. I would accept the high and mighty route of players walking off the field and still be a proud Tennessee fanHad this same convo with someone in the AD yesterday
You are not built for recruiting. None of this is how it happens. Carry on,I'm not sure if its NIL, assertiveness by coaching staff (pushing for commits), or not a wide enough net. But whatver it is its a knock, this staff has good recruiters. TN is a great program. All the tools are there. There is no excuse they gotta get it figured out.
Too often we get the visit, kids have a blast, then look for any reason not to come here, its strange.
We have the facilities, coaches, NIL, legacy, and $ support to recruit at a top 10, possibly top 6-8 every year. Potentially top 5 every once in a while.3 straight winning seasons and some of y’all acting like all the sudden we should be competing with Bama and UGA in recruiting….and seem disappointed we aren’t
Disproportionate to what?I agree with some of what you're saying. It is concerning, esp on the LOS'. To include Garner, btw what's going on with DL recruiting??
My point is we seems to lose on a disproportionate amount of Top 100 players. It seems like we lose a lot of these battles. Lets just say we got Mauigoa, or one of our top tackle prospects in last two years.
If they stay healthy, how does that impact 2024? If we land one of our top DL prospects in last two years, how does that help going into 2024, with so many potentially leaving? What about WR? And I mean having a rising soph, dynamic playmaker. Landing a Wingo type in addition to Matthews, and Staley is what this offense needs.
We actually thought someone picking up someone and body slamming them on their head banks style would be appropriateAnd honestly, if officiating got bad enough where it risk the health of our players.. I would accept the high and mighty route of players walking off the field and still be a proud Tennessee fan
Edit: and even refunding every individual who got tickets to the game to really stick it to the SEC and NCAA that they ain’t the almighty
It's almost like there is some type of mathematical basis that if you target a lot of Top 100 players, you're going to miss out on a higher percentage of them.I agree with some of what you're saying. It is concerning, esp on the LOS'. To include Garner, btw what's going on with DL recruiting??

Heup's real offense will be rolling very soon. I would have liked to have seen Dobbs run it for one season anyway. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yes those. And LSU, Clemson, Auburn, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, TAMU, Carolina, USClite, and Florida.“Disproportionate” opposed to whom? Bama, UGA, Ohio State and Michigan amongst others always get theirs. Disillusioned entitlement is an exercise in futility. This upcoming class is the first where the NCAA bull cannot be used against us in negative recruiting. Let reality air out before pulling the “concerned” button, I say. Last time I’m weighing in on these discussions. They’re pointless. If the coaches can’t get it done, everybody will be right at the same time. With previous coaching staffs, I never felt confident we could compete EVEN WITH a top 5 class. Butch’s one-off with Trey and Pruitt and Niedermeyer luring in Wanya and Darnell was the closest we got to bringing in legit big uglies…and Mahoney/Friend couldn’t develop them to even mediocre status. Ellarbee can take cast-offs and at least compete on the worst days. Ok…that’s it.
They were dreadful the last few years, and he is one win away against Charlotte to be bowl eligible. I’d say it would be a successful first year for him.Dream on Golesh will do fine at USF after he recruits for a few years...looks like Madden might end up there wouldn't shock me ....how bout you ???
Mizzou has the 45th ranked class, Gamecocks 19th, Auburn 16th, Clemson 17th opposed to us at 12th (and not finished) and we'll see what Florida's final tally is with them losing a four star every day and DJ Lagway ripe for poaching. Guess the heart wants...Yes those. And LSU, Clemson, Auburn, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, TAMU, Carolina, USClite, and Florida.
I agree with what some of you are saying, surprisingly. But the time for developing prospects combined with schollie reductions, is at an end.
With 1 miss, 2 miss, and 3 those three 3 crucial misses become quality starting depth. Again this isnt an indictment on their coaching ability, but more a question of they, recruiting ability - which I actually have argued that they have some ace recruiters they're just not getting them across the finish line, as often as they should.
Vols or Volunteers is the proper name of the team. You are a fan of the Vols, hence a Vols fan. It's grammatically correct, weird sound notwithstanding.Anyone noticed that some people either say "I'm a vol fan" or "I'm a vols fan"
Is it just me that thinks it sounds dumb when people say "I'm a vols fan"?
"As a vols fan" = "as a volunteers fan"
Just sounds wrong.
No . Bowers doesn’t throw it to himself. The 10-19 range has more to do with Brock Bowers than Beck.
If they are start the bias trash again today, the crowd will get very ugly….worse than Ole Miss 2 years ago. I hope we can stay close and force them to call a clean game, or else watch our fanbase show exactly what trash the SEC and its officials are.And honestly, if officiating got bad enough where it risk the health of our players..
