I find it comical how Michigan is acting through this entire situation. You got caught cheating, destroying evidence, and giving your cheating ring to other programs to influence results of other games as well. You are not a victim. You would think they would just shut their mouths and try and take the spotlight off themselves a bit through this whole thing.
You forgot his permanent ban from the NFL Hall of Fame.Orrrrr, he’s covering for Tom Brady, because he and Brady are best friends. If Brady gets in trouble for this, then they open up the “deflate gate” again, Brady then loses all his Super Bowl rings, Manning rightfully takes his throne as greatest QB of all time.
Best possible outcome is that Tennessee wins today. bama beats uga in the SECCG game and elimiates uga from the playoffs. Then bama ends up in 5th or 6th place and also misses the playoffs.Anyone else have zero interest in watching those red schools play in the SEC title?
Can't STAND it
It is literally criminal...and there is almost no point in even watching anymore...it is infuriating that nobody does anything about it.While it is nice to have objective data, the real insidious aspect of this trend isn't the lack of penalties in terms of objective number of penalties and yards, but rather the refusal to enforce certain types of penalties (holding) which completely alters the game in favor of our opponents by negotiating the strength of our defense (and subsequently overexposing the weakness of our defense)
Sure, on the surface, we lose some sack yards and corresponding offensive output the sacks would have prevented. However, once a team knows they won't be called for offensive holding, they can not only block with impunity but change their entire gameplan. Meanwhile, as much as I dislike our zone defense, it's hard to stay in man-to-man when you know you won't be able to pressure the quarterback effectively.
So, while having objective statistics to validate what we witness in games is nice, the true effect of this officiating disparity is much bigger than even the objective data leads credence to.

Can anyone come up with a way that texas also misses the playoffs? Don’t want them in either.
Awesome. Why cant we have as many as we can get. Let's poach. Laws knows its happened to us, 11ty billion times.Mizzou has the 45th ranked class, Gamecocks 19th, Auburn 16th, Clemson 17th opposed to us at 12th (and not finished) and we'll see what Florida's final tally is with them losing a four star every day and DJ Lagway ripe for poaching. Guess the heart wants...
It's because too many people are sheep. They don't believe it's possible for an organization to be corrupt. I can't understand where their faith comes from. There’s some crazy stuff at play.. has to be. I’ve watched football my whole life and I’ve never seen it as blatant as it’s been the last couple of years.. especially this year
