I’m not concerned about the Seaton result I just want more success in the portal this cycle. We don’t have enough regular recruiting success to sit back and just take a few players. UGA and Alabama can do that but even they plug in upgrades. We need to be upgrading key positions or we’re just going to fall behind our rivals in the league.

Portal recruiting strategy, or lack thereof, is the coaches, not Spyre. I don't understand our reluctance to use the portal to upgrade.

We definitely tried hard…unfortunately a great NIL package is what it takes to just get in the door for most recruits nowadays unless you are one of the current royalty. But I’ve learned this cycle multiple times we can have most robust offer and still lose.

I’m not shading our coaches because in the end I think their recruiting approach is why we don’t see major roster turnover at TN BUT there still has to be a little hot sauce on their end. I think at times they use TVC power as a crutch and assume they’ve got the deal closed and don’t do enough hard selling on their end.

That’s more of an outside observation and I don’t have that on the record just strictly my thoughts.

Bama vs. UGA is a no-brainer. UGA getting in would make a mockery of the entire sport. Bama’s only loss is to what should be a playoff team. They just played Georgia TODAY, with everything on the line, and won. They are SEC champs. There is no argument for UGA to get in over Bama other than “Kirby will post the nudie pictures of me.”

Why does kirby have nude pictures of you? How does that affect the playoffs? Are you really saban or sankey?

imagine being on the staff of an 8-4 team and not even trying to have a little more " hot sauce" on the trail.....terrible, if true. But it does kinda feel that way.
