He would've been right if he came here. I think this kid lied to everyone. Like he went above and beyond. Almost feel like he used Tennessee as the Patsy, convinced the coaches and Spyre he was coming here. . . even the players.

Bad thing is, he doesn't even realize he's playing a pawn in Deion's game.

I’m not concerned about the Seaton result I just want more success in the portal this cycle. We don’t have enough regular recruiting success to sit back and just take a few players. UGA and Alabama can do that but even they plug in upgrades. We need to be upgrading key positions or we’re just going to fall behind our rivals in the league.

Not really sure but I can't help but feel it's an indictment of Martinez. He's getting playing time, not sure why he would leave unless he feels he would benefit from development elsewhere or he's being held back in some way. It makes the most sense IMO.

That’s quite an assumption. Could easily just be looking for the best nil deal since he’s not going pro yet.

Has nobody considered that the Spyre fund could be to retain guys that are on campus already and part of the recruiting pitch we have is get to campus, prove you belong, you can qualify for xyz NIL opportunities?

I can’t help but agree with this. I don’t care for our portal strategy.

I wish they would attack it like Tony V does. That guys understands it better than anyone on campus, IMO.

It’s Staes. However he schedule two visits after us so I’m not sure why we would cancel joly. My best guess is we didn’t want to rock the boat it’s Ethan Davis so shifted our focus to more traditional (not only pass catching) tight ends.

This is how I feel also. Wish we could do better and just be more aggressive in the portal. Could go a long ways and we just have too many older guys that should not be playing so much. There’s very good DBs, DL and WRs in the portal right now.
