Yeup, and clearly prioritizing the guys we want to keep on our current roster which feels like a good strategy.

I keep seeing these people say things like "Spyre is rated as one of the best if not the best NIL collectives in the game. We should be getting only the best players." If I'm not mistaken, those ratings are not based on how much money is in the pot but moreso how the collective is organized and operated. We don't have an unlimited amount of money to spend. Money from donations go to existing student athletes including other sports like, basketball, baseball, women's sports as well. When you add it all up it takes a tremendous amount of money. Probably 10's of millions of dollars.

Do these other collectives publicly release their membership numbers? Should be fairly easy to figure out roughly where we are money wise relative to them based on their numbers vs ours. Especially considering our well known to be cheap mega boosters.

High school Seniors should not be offered NIL money....
They may be a 5* that everyone slobbers over, but what have they done on the college field...

Rule should be only established college players should receive the benefits...

Makes Zero sense to me to give a high school player 750,000 dollars when he has done nothing at the University...

But I'm old school I assume, tuition, meals, and everything else they receive to get a great education should be enough to me....

To me the way to cap the nil dollars is to limit transfers. That is where the money vacuum is kicking in.

Give guys 1 transfer, and one hardship if any of their coaches leaves. That would slow down coaching and player changes. It would also put some skin in the game for coaches.

People are triggered and looking for a reason to explain why their team didn't get the player they were told would come here. Easiest target is the $ man. I think the truth is, the amount of $ it would've taken to get him away from that circus in colorado would have never been worth it.

Problem is. Eric came in and said “this was a collective effort” blah blah, you know the rest of what he said….that was less than 2 hours before Seaton announced. Metal said, Seaton never lied or something like that, again you know the quote.

So Deion flipped the kid in two hours? No. He knew where he was going ahead of time. Now it’s not their fault because they probably didn’t know, my issue is, don’t come in hyping up this “collective” effort and lure people into buying something without results.
