Yeah we’re all good I was just discussing it. There are other TE’s in the portal that are being offered by legit programs. Joly’s best after UT is either NC St, AZ St, MS St.

Just wondering why some here think he’s one of the best in the portal? Not even saying he isn’t. But we look at offers for HS kids and question their skill based on offers. Why not the same here?

Not singling you out either. I keep asking everyone who posts about him. No one ever answers.

I'll be honest, I left the hospital tired, but in a good mood. Get in the car, turn on the radio, and Tyler Ivans (or however his name is spelled) starts talking about the bad news for Tennessee today. It dampened my mood. Baron and Slaughter had been rumored, but the Echols flip??? And to Golesh? It felt like I caught my best friend kissing my girlfriend. WTF is up with that??

I think Slaughter is frustration, injury and sparse playing time last year, and if I remember correctly he mentioned at one point he wanted to play safety instead of corner.

I think he ends up back here next year, for better or worse.

Listen not trying to be an ass, this isn't some "I told you so", and I'm certainly not happy to be proven somewhat correct in my worry, but people need to realize, recruiting HAS to get better. We won't reach where we want to go recruiting this way. I'm not anti-Heupel. I love the freakin' guy. Not in the same way Glitch loves him, not that I'm judging, but he HAS to figure out recruiting, and I'm honestly starting to believe some staff changes are going to have to be involved. Torch me for my opinion if you want, but I want Heupel to succeed, and I want to see the Vols win championships again.

I love Heup as well believe it or not, and want him to succeed more than anyone--- I am so sick of all the coaching changes and getting it wrong while other programs rise back up... I am sick of us getting our hopes up that THIS time we got the right hire, then to only want them gone 3-4yrs later when they fail. People think I am negative, but actually I'm just telling it like I see it and most of it you can't deny, even though we don't want to admit it.
Heup is the right coach for this program, but our NIL, recruiting, and Portal shopping MUST improve drastically and QUICKLY for him to succeed. I am worried though, with how things seem to be playing out, that this is not trending that way.

Are you saying he wouldn't have been a TE here? Because I think he would have. He was currently the only one in the class, and now we have zero.

I think we will know a lot once Nico plays. The offense regressed this year and that took some shine off. That hopefully will reverse with Nico.
