Different time. Jimmy could have won at least one with Buerlein. Joe Gibbs won with three different game management types. But point at the franchise that plays ball control and pounds with a beast offensive line and workhorse running back AND even makes the Super Bowl. Belichick would have loved going that route. Has a losing record without a franchise QB.

Edit: And Phil Simms met that standard...and then some. Not a HOF, but neither is Donovan McNabb or multiple other examples.

Eeeh, Simms was a game manager, who road the coattails of Lawrence Taylor and that defense....

McNabb never received the credit he deserved, couldn't win the big game...was his rep...

Well, frankly they owe us nothing, as fans.

We just know how close we're getting to competing for titles. Just want us to turn the corner. But we arent there yet.

Anyhow, thanks for the insight.

You can certainly look at it that way, (not suggesting they owe the fans info on what decisions they are making), but they are making an incredible amount of money to produce and turn the program into a success, with the goal being win championships. We buy the tickets and help fund this entire thing, so if they are bargain basement shopping and come up with guys not on people's radar or who are not highly touted difference makers, that's fine too, but if they don't produce on the field while other teams have gone out and gotten upgrades and ARE producing on the field, then yes we have a problem and he and the staff deserve every bit of criticism, called out, and held accountable. No excuses, can't have it both ways. It's his JOB just like most of us--- you F up or don't prodcue then you are gone...This university and football program has as many high end resources and financing as just about any other university, so as Heup has said in the past, "why not us"... That's up to him, our NIL, and this current administration and AD it seems at this point.

I like doing this little challenge as well, although I lose after day 3 most of the time. If you don’t want the +100 odd, a lot of people do this but do it with -200 odds.

We have different memories. Mine's uncluttered by any residual hatred of the Giants organization and their history. It's possible to be a franchise QB this side of HOF status AND to have been a teammate of a generational force of nature talent like Lawrence. They don't win that first Super Bowl without Phil...he outdueled Elway. They don't get to the second without him...jmo.
