Just curious - any of you jokers work in admissions at UT. Today is supposed to be the day that early action decisions go to out of state applicants, but now there are rumors floating around that decisions are delayed.
When I applied for college, I had zero concern/stress, but I’m a little anxious about the process for my eldest. We’re all excited to learn what decisions have been made.
So many questions…I've seen a map of this before and the one for Tennessee is both funny and bizarro

Yeah Penalties are ridiculous. That is one area I am very willing to criticize the staff. No improvement, and despite the chicken little narratives I don't agree with, championship teams do not shoot themselves in the foot. From

for 2024 Vols football stats.
Worse on passing and overall offense, but better on rushing.
Actually better on defense in some areas.
BUT, whoa boy, either the refs hate us, or Heupel has to do something about cleaning up this mess from the past two years:
Penalties per game: 8.2 (14th SEC/131st FBS)
> 2022: 8.1 (14th SEC/129th FBS)
Penalty yards per game: 71.1 (14th SEC/129th FBS)
> 2022: 68.8 (14th SEC/124th FBS)
AND either the refs hate us, or all of the players on all of our opponents' programs have extremely disciplined players.
"NOTE: Tennessee opponents were penalized the fourth-fewest times (5.6 per game) for the second-fewest penalty yards (40.2 per game) in the SEC."
