Man I'm so annoyed by the Vikings HC.

Dobbs comes in off the street at you go 2-2 and you lose those 2 by a total of 6 points combined he technically started against Raiders and they won, but not even counting that game. Then he sits him.

Meanwhile before he went down Cousins was 4-4. And Mullens is now 1-1 (although Dobbs started the Raiders game) but going to keep riding with him because he's been with the team longer I guess.

The Vikings OL is terrrrrible that's really why they've lost 7. 14 games played and you've had to start 3 different QBs and have only produce a 100 yard rusher once. On paper 35 sacks doesn't look bad, but how many were avoided by Dobbs' legs?

They are 8th in the league in sacks given up over the last 3 games, QB play is not the issue (excluding the Bears' game...)
Cousins QBR 103.1
Mullens QBR 96.8
Dobbs QBR 76.4 with back to back games in the 50’s…. fair or not…. that will get you benched every time.

So, you can honestly look at a weak schedule like Mizzou or OM this year and say they deserve to play for the biggest title in their sport? Or even an Oregon team who lost to the same team twice, even as a large favorite on a neutral field?
When has deserved meant anything…. Teams that can’t even win their conference has won a national championship.

So AP is saying on the radio it’s not certain Milton plays the bowl game and that UT is keeping it close to the vest for gamesmanship regardless of whether he plays or not, pair that with the fact Milton hasn’t been featured on any of the UT posts on social media regarding practice and he hasn’t had media availability yet, which usually the senior qb is the first one to interview, makes me think it really could be the nico show Jan 1 👀

I'm still looking for the logic in Bama, who already has a loss to another playoff team, making it in over an undefeated conference champion. Yet plenty on here defended that.
The excuse used was that they lost their starting qb. The truth is that FSU was left out because CFB knows the ACC sucks and and FSU probably would have been monkey stomped. CFB could not abide another TCU.
I think FSU should have been in because by the criteria the committee set up they earned it regardless if the odds say they will be killed. Very hypocritical decision.
The Hickory Hoosiers really didn't belong either.

Please.

Or let Joe have a drive or two then have him and Nico do a hand off of sorts.

Guys im not ready for Mizzou and drinkowitz to become good in the sec. I want to dismiss them so bad as a fluke year but they are recruiting really well and they have an insanely easy schedule next year.

Its a bit of a head scratching move. Green was born in Oklahoma. His family moved to Lee's Summit, MO (Kansas City suburb) but he was always a Sooner fan throughout high school. The OU collective matched the amount he requested but they never heard back from him. It was speculated that he was going to Oregon.

The two biggest blowhard coaches in the SEC are making the biggest moves.

I'm ready for tomorrow to come and go. Just feels ho-hum because there are no potential surprises. Maybe February, if we have a chance to hook McKinley, and it isn't known in advance, will be more exciting.

It sucks because other programs are talking about potential flips. They've got the glee of Recruiting Christmas Eve. But we pretty much know what all our presents are going to be.

In the same games Dobbs had a higher QBR than Mullens.
i posted the rating that i was referring too…. Bottom line is Dobbs struggled so they are giving Mullens a shot… He has been decent in the last two games… if he struggles then they will make another change.

Wth? Why am I looking at a wall of stats? The ratings I saw were on games they both played in. They both did abysmal but Dobbs rated higher at least on the metric I saw (I didn't save it or I'd post it). The key problem though is they both did abysmal in the same games because that OL sucks and the playcalling doesn't help that.

I mean, if you think about it, Joe already had his bowl last year. He did well, and it launched us into 2023 with optimism.

I can see the same thing happening this year, albeit for different reasons.

To be fair, with Joe on the way out, who is Nico competing against? Walk-ons and a true freshman that just got to campus three days ago.
Most coaches would’ve brought in a transfer to compete, hell Kiffin brought in two last cycle. The fact Heup didn’t tells me all I need to know about Nico.

Didn't bring in a transfer AND made sure a veteran center and 2 other veteran OL returned. We prioritized protecting the soon to be RS Frosh. That said, we need a QB transfer for depth. It's just hard to get one when most QBs are looking to start and with Nico as heir apparent they don't want to come in and back him up for 3. We will have to get a HS QB/recruit for that because he can eventually see PT.

1976 — The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Baltimore Colts 40-14 in an AFC playoff game. Ten minutes after the game, Donald Kroner, a former charter pilot, crashes a rented, low-wing, Piper Cherokee into the upper deck of Memorial Stadium. No one is seriously hurt as most of the capacity crowd of 60,020 left the one-sided contest early or were heading down the exit ramps.
