Their schedule is pretty soft next year too.
They'll have another decent year, but I wouldn't exactly call them good just fortunate.
Isn't there a national union? I'm fairly anti union, but this seems like one of the rare instances they could be useful.
Mhmmmmmm. It's why I don't view teams like that as big wins. They're like Kentucky...when the major 3 in the East are down they have good results. This year Florida and Us had off years...we beat Kentucky and lost to Missouri. Florida got beat by both of them.
But honestly their schedule this year ended up being pretty soft.
Biggest wins were over 8-4 Kansas State & 8-4 Vols, both at home. Maybe winning at Kentucky 7-5 was a big win too?
They did compete well with LSU and Georgia in their only two losses though, but really 3-2 against the only teams with a pulse they played isn't that impressive IMO.
Typical union. A well managed union would help with some of the issues (while probably creating others). There is, but I’m not a fan. The staffing crisis has been developing over the last decade and nothing was really done until it reached an absolutely critical level. And they haven’t done anything to advocate for more pay to keep pace with pilots. Also, the placement process for new hires is insane and the transfer system is completely stagnate. You can go anywhere in the and just get stuck there. And they never do anything to address it. They mostly just protect controllers who get in trouble or have close calls.
I probably sound like a Dobbs fanboy. . . but I dont think that coach is gonna work out up there much longer. He listens to the fans too much, the offensive calls are offensive, he cant seem to see the issue is his OL, and/or he thinks swapping QB's will magically fix the terrible OL. . . or maybe he's swapping them to buy more time to get into the off-season and try to rework the OL & get Cousins back. Either way, his moves make it seem like he's under a lot of pressure and he's in panic modeMan I'm so annoyed by the Vikings HC.
Dobbs comes in off the street at you go 2-2 and you lose those 2 by a total of 6 points combined he technically started against Raiders and they won, but not even counting that game. Then he sits him.
Meanwhile before he went down Cousins was 4-4. And Mullens is now 1-1 (although Dobbs started the Raiders game) but going to keep riding with him because he's been with the team longer I guess.
The Vikings OL is terrrrrible that's really why they've lost 7. 14 games played and you've had to start 3 different QBs and have only produce a 100 yard rusher once. On paper 35 sacks doesn't look bad, but how many were avoided by Dobbs' legs?
They are 8th in the league in sacks given up over the last 3 games, QB play is not the issue (excluding the Bears' game...)
