Yep, the receivers couldn't get much separation, which doesn't help the QB out.
I don't really believe that was the problem. Drops however were a huge problem.

I have rewatched a lot of the games several times and there were guys getting open...he usually saw it too late or never saw it at all.

Oh lord this again? Do you think they beat Michigan or not?
I don't know, possibly. That FSU defense was legit. We will never get to see it though. Sankey/Saban got their way and got an SEC team in the playoff. Argument could be made for either Bama, UGA, or FSU. FSU was an undefeated conference champ and they should have gotten the nod regardless. If folks don't like the outcome then change the system. Which they have for next year.

Huepel harred a new guy to call plays, some of them good. Some of them not so good. We farred him midway through the season, but then re-harred him because he's a first year guy.

Having watched USF in their bowl game, reminds me of hwhat tempo can do. And we didnt do that.

Listen I think there's plenty of blame to go around, I just dont think its all Joe's fault. Some of its his, for sure. The WR room just wasnt very talented.
WTH are you talking about hiring and firing playcaller in season?

And nobody has said that it's all Joe's fault. Just that the playcalling was constrained by offensive skilleset. Those are two completely different arguments.

Those is stupid 🦬💩...it will ALWAYS be stupid 🦬💩...I will say it again since you are dumb enough to keep saying that...Josh Heupel did not suddenly, after all these years of top 5 offenses, forget how to run an offense.

If you only have cheap bologna, cheap cheese and cheap condiments to prepare with...all you do is make the best bologna sandwich you possibly can.....and I believe Heupel and his HELPERS did just that.

Making a good offense out of what he had to work with this year was a REMARKABLE job...period.
Sorry @Jackcrevol I just reread this and it sounds a lot meaner than I meant for it to...I sometimes forget I am not arguing with my stupid brothers, cousins and nephews.

He has all world talent. But refuses to use it. Er, leans on it too much.

Add in WR's that were also mediocre. And play calling at times wasnt as good as its been, execution of certainly was abysmal.

Best game we played was versus Vandy, on offense. And the TE's were our best weapons, in the air.
Do you think a competent playcallecd would call a different game if he had Cam Newton at QB than, say, Ryan Tannehil? Serious question.

This "placalling at times...Woe is me, give me UCF's coach" BS is all the more ignorant when the playcalling comment is sandwiched between describing the problems that the playcaller was having to traverse and hide.

HINT! If you have less talent, and they aren't exercising the plays... You stop calling the plays. This isn't hard to understand.

The selection hit the nail. The best 4 teams are playing for the Championship. The ACC replaced the Big 12 as the Conference which needed to improve its talent to qualify for the final 4. Next year, they Have made room for a team from the ACC to make the top twelve.

Do you stand by this take if UGA boat races them on Saturday? I guess the counter-argument will then be how many of their players opted out/transferred? I'm not being smart, this is a genuine question.

So easy to understand, yet soooo hard to grasp..

I dont know enough about Ryan Tannehill, or Cam Newton now. I did watch Newton as a collegiate athlete, and at the time he was one of the most dominant college players ive ever seen.

I hate every other team in the SEC...so I pretty much hate the SEC...but this is actually just the truth.
I’m so conflicted! I hate the other teams in the SEC but love the SEC. Mostly because when I started watching the media loved the Big 10, Notre Dame, USC and Texas so much. Those teams had it so easy.

Hate saying it, but I think UGA was the best team this year. Just a bad day vs Bama. Still, I'm thrilled and relieved I don't have to listen to 3-peat through this entire off season. Now if, by some miracle, FSU can upset UGA, that would be an excellent cap to the season for me.
