Recruiting Football Talk VII

Agree, but there are things that happen later in life with high protein diets. Trust me, back when I could throw a football over those mountains, did SB, low carb deal. Was in excellent shape.

I think its a solid foundation. Incorporating it into a meal plan is solid. But we have to have complex carbs to help break down that protein. Id encourage anyone to seek leaner sources of protein, if they're considering a whole foods diet. Beef is good on ocassion. Def stay away from pork. Dirty meat.

Chicken, eggs, and fish. I'm sure many on here know more than I. Just smarter choices than beef, butter, and bacon.

I would love to know why you think pork is a dirty meat. You talk about lean protein. On average pork is considerable leaner than beef. Lard (pork fat) is lower in saturated fat and higher in unsaturated fats and the most important unsaturated fats like Linoleic acid than beef tallow. Pork is also much cheaper and better for the environment than beef.

I really hope that we throw 40+ on Iowa just to see people tout the offensive play calling brilliance of Josh Heupel, or Halzle since they really believe he is the one running the offense..it would be hilarious to see them saying they just suddenly got better at it.

I don't think it will happen for the simple fact there is too much new going on...but it would be glorious and hilarious to see.

I think we are still a ways away from seeing it back among the top 5-10 offenses....but then again, I thought we were a ways away when Hendon took over...and I was wrong.

Better analogy here is proper break in of a new motor requires reduced rpm's. So for the sake if the long tern health of the motor he raced the Corvette rental with high mileage. Wise choice and I agree with your point.
You are one beautiful man.

Baptist I see

Cute, act like you been there before...
Barry Sanders never danced, Emmitt Smith nope, Jerry Rice nope...

BTW, what's wrong with being Baptist?

FWIW, we can probably let this one die. The poster in question has already said that he's posting from emotion and won't change his emotes.

A lot of guys on here describe me as being intransigent, but if you look back through my posts over the years, or really pay attention...there have been many times that I ultimately agreed that I was wrong.

I have NEVER seen the couple of "openminded" guys in question on this topic admit they were wrong...ever.

That is ironic to me.

Also, I haven't noticed one way or the other on that. I'll say this, not passively aggressively toward anyone else, but as conversation to you.

I generally try to live as though the best thing I can do is live and think according to how the world actually is. IOW, I can generally make the best decisions for me (and mine) when my beliefs correspond to reality. Thus, I'll generally end up thanking someone who takes the time to convince me that my beliefs don't accord to reality.

I'm huge on critical thinking. So, they may need to do their due diligence to change my mind. But my mind is change-able, and I won't treat them as an adversary for trying.
