Yes you can argue that with most teams, but we seem to play hot and cold way too often and to the extreme over the past three years. This team is as deep with interchangeable pieces as any I have seen at Tennessee going back to the late 70’s. That’s not to say that other prior teams may have had one or two elite players that are better than our best this year. The fact that we are so deep with interchangeable quality players allows us to have one or two player disappear for a game or two because one or two of these other interchangeable players will step up to fill the void for those games without suffering a void for team.

The character of these players also permits the slumping players to step back and allow a teammate to step and pick up their production that night without disrupting the team chemistry. No single player this year is so critical that we have to leave them in on an off night and let them fight their way through a bad night at the team’s expense.

Yeah, them kids making more money than most of volnation next year.

I’m inclined to whoop some a$$ at work when I get criticized some times ,, then I remember I get paid to do it and it comes with it.
I could always choose to do something else if the criticism offends me too much.

Injuries upfront & playing to our strengths (running the ball) we game planned extremely well. I expected good things from the Defense but honestly they played better than my expectations, maybe Iowa is really just that bad but I felt like we looked very sharp and fast, especially in the secondary.

I will be real curious to see how many of these kids entering the portal find a landing spot. I have a feeling many of them will be in for a surprise.

Does anyone know what the percentages were last year??

Or people rely on stats without actually using their eyes....watch the punts, stats aren't everything. However if you want stats....

He wasn't even top 50 in punt average.

If he were top 20 in average distance and we had very few return yards, that would be very good. Or even top 50 would be decent.
