Heupel’s offense doesn’t have a whole lot of midrange calls. I read about it when he was hired. It’s either short or long based on the defensive alignment. He tries to get guys in space and outnumber the defense. We saw more in our last drive, but he tries to get yards in chunks. On the last drive, I believe UF was playing 2 high safeties, but we had to pass to move the ball. That opens up the middle some.

He should really think about using the galdang middle of the field more often.

If Heupel got up and made excuses I’d probably worry. But I’ve seen no evidence of that. Team won an Orange bowl last year. And played hard tonight.

It’s year 3, but unfortunately we are out of the running for the East. It would take a major turn of events.

I say we start playing nico more unless there’s something I’m missing. The future is bigger than trying to make joe work. Joe is definitely playing better I won’t deny it. But the play calling is either garbage or they are catering to his abilities. Either way it’s not good. The offense does not remotely resemble what we’ve seen the past 2 years and I really hope it wasn’t golesh. Smart left saban and he’s never been the same.

Officials were a big part. We played poorly but if we get even half the calls we should have this was a different game. If the SEC wants to take a giant dump on Tennessee then we should take a giant dump back on them. Scorched earth. DW should hold a PC on Monday with screen shots of all the egregious calls that were not called vs the ticky tack bull crap they called on us and throw the SEC under the gall dang bus. Then back that thing up and run over them again.

Couldn’t disagree more. We have great seats at home. Our FL friends tried to pay us forward. We were the only TN fans in the section. And none of them expected to win. They destroyed us in every way. Officials were fine.

Milton had thrown more midrange passes the first 2 weeks of the season than he did vs Vandy and Clemson last year, 10 more to be exact. This has not looked like Huep’s offense the past 7 years

We threw the most 20+ passes of any team last year. Through the first 2 weeks we had one of the lowest 20+ pass attempts in the SEC. Might go up this week a little but we only threw 5 or 6 I believe

It’s still Heupel’s offense. I’m not sure what you guys were watching when we ran a bunch of short, wide passes last year. Did it alot. They aren’t afraid to let Joe throw. They started running more wrinkles deeper into the year last year.

Officials were not fine. Two egregious, unforgivable calls cost us 2 red zone drives.
