We didn't lose because:

We dont have Hyatt or Tillman
we dont have Darnell Wright
We don't have the defensive players that went to the draft.
We don't have Alex Golesh

We lost because we dont have Hendon Hooker or comparable QB to cover for crappy, over-his-head defensive coordinator.

In order to win last year, we had to outscore folks. We're not good enough on offense to outscore folks.

Defense was pathetic tonight. 3rd down defense specifically…

I honestly don't think it's that bad. I'm probably at 9-3 atm. And I'm not convinced Bama is one of those 3 losses.

7% of hookers attempts were screens last year. 20% of Milton’s attempts this year have been screens. 3% of passing have gone 30+, last year it was 10%. Continue to think the play calls are the exactly the same if you want. They’re not.

It’s based on defensive alignment. We can just disagree. But when the opponent plays two high safeties, we are going to run or throw short. If you think they don’t tell Joe to read the defense and call it, there isn’t anything else to say.

This has been the same offense for 3 years taught to the QB’s. The topic was midrange, and your % are close combined to deep and short. This offense doesn’t do a whole lot midrange.

We have seen 29 games.

7-5 with Nico… however still plenty of season left to be played and it can change in a hurry. We’ll see where we are after South Carolina and Ta&m. The SEC is weak this year and Bama is not old bama. 5-1 going into bama game is still possible

Putting Nico behind this OL could ruin him. People calling for him to play really need to consider that.

First. If you don’t think you can get to 9-10 with Joe, you want to get Nico ready to hit the ground running next year. Something to sell to potential transfers (which we will need).

Hard to bring in a transfer QB when Milton is the clear starter and Nico is the future. We have a QB committed for 2024.

Defense is always garbage Vs the big 3. “Need more talent.” Yeah well hell who’s job is to get the talent? It’s just frustrating as hell you feel like UT turns a corner and this Bs happens. Ugh.

It was bad for the most part last year. The offense was so good it disguised it or made teams be more one dimensional playing from behind. The vols will never be a championship team with him as the DC.
