That guy is insufferable. He is just attacking everyone in every thread who doesn’t say we are the best team alive and the coaches are the best in the country.Again, I think you're reading comprehension needs some work.
This is the first time I've entered this conversation. I literally posted like 3 times yesterday, one about baseball and twice about Josh Allen.
Some of yall just hate to hate.
I mean, I get I can be an ass, but I've literally said nothing today that should've triggered anyone. Weird. That guy is insufferable. He is just attacking everyone in every thread who doesn’t say we are the best team alive and the coaches are the best in the country.
Must be a relative of someone with being so new and going hard at everyone.
Do you think the style of fast paced offense Tennessee plays makes it somewhat more difficult to recruit the Offensive Lineman..
2024 class was a good haul of course...
But some big guys don't like running their @$$e$ off up and down the field..
Agree. They may also just want to add some competition/depth to the OL so that who we do have are motivated to continue to improve and if we have injuries some season time we are left in a lurch.the O line isn't "not so good". we're missing a couple of pieces.
the thing everyone seems to be forgetting is that the PRIMARY reason we're trying to be so active on the OT position is so that we don't have to play someone there that still needs some development. that isn't a fancy way of saying who we have sucks.
in terms of managing the roster at that position, everybody basically agrees that OL, esp OT, is a development position even for the higher rated guys. how long that development curve is, is the question. and if we can land a couple of dudes right now to help bridge that developmental gap, that's what we're going to do.
that's the goal. not to replace the 'trash players' we currently have. we have some good young talent. and we have some guys that need some work. adding guys that can come in and start right now buys time.
"The room is crowded" and "there is a lot of dead weight" in the room aren't even close to the same thing. They have said as much in podcasts. Not specifically use the term dead weight, but something along the lines of "the room is crowded." The takeaway I came away with is there is not a lot of separation from several guys. That makes it harder for guys to see their opportunity when shopping us.
What does he need to turn around? We had the #1 offense in the country 2 years ago. We had the #1 rushing offense last year. The passing game was off for a variety of reasons...(Joe, WR's, OL injuries,). We signed a decent OL class in the 23 period with NCAA sanctions hanging over us and we just signed a very good, if not great looking, OL class in 24. So, what exactly does Elarbee need to turn around? Portal recruiting?I wouldn't doubt it though. We've heard of frustration from spyre. Swain is saying, right now, that it's not the NIL at all. He mentioned guys who can close but don't want to and guys that can't close being the same thing. Read that how you want but it appears everyone is doing their job in helping improve this roster but OL is not getting it done on a certain end. When that is the weak link, of course thats where the pressure will be focused on.
Do I want Elarbee fired? Of course not. But he needs to turn this around or his job will be significantly harder and so will heupels.
My question is how much are other coaches in on closing? Is Elarbee turning off that many guys and why? Is the OC an issue too? Idk. But everyone thinks the OL roster needs, not wants but needs, immediate help.
