Wild how when we ultimately pick up the Temple player there are so few comments, and the ones that are posted is that he us just depth. When we thought we missed him though it was a clear sign of our brokenness.

Yup. The only conference champs that should be auto bid are SEC and Big10. All others are in a different league at this point.

If your league needs an auto-bid to a 12-team playoff...that's not saying much.

It's the lower level conferences that need them. I don't mind a one or two (such as highest ranked G5 conference champ), but no way they should be guaranteed a top 4 spot.

Quick regurgitation of the current poll.

I'd like to say a handful of spots higher, but I'll wait to see how well we shore up the ol and secondary.

With the right pieces, I think 9-14 could be about right.

I'm kinda mad we dropped out of the AP after beating Vandy because we'd have a nice little streak of being ranked going and it'd have been our first wire-to-wire ranked season since 2006.

Pretty predictable. Same thing with Sensabaugh. When we led it was a "wasted scholarship." When he picked Mizzou it was a "huge loss."

McMurray checked all the boxes but when he got to campus last weekend, the coaches tapped the brakes because they weren't quite sure. It was probably refreshing to find someone who's ready to commit and doesn't ask for the moon, then the stars, then when the sun comes up, they want that, too.

Probably not, but they like the potential of some of the younger guys who'll continue to develop and will be rotational by fall.

Titans could have gotten something for Henry. But there's been 8 head coach trades in the history of the NFL. Many stars have to align for that to happen. Teams don't just acquire new coaches on a whim and a mid round pick.

And I don't really buy that the Patriots have tired of Bill so the next logical step is his illegitimate son. That doesn't make any sense.

Some have shifting opinions, others do not, I still don't see Sensabaugh as a big loss. Don't know what to think of McMurray, but if the staff had doubts, that causes me to have doubts. Wonder what changed to make them go from backing off to taking him?

For the last time I don't hate Banks. He's just not very good, IMO. I'm sorry so many are disturbed by that. I see this window of opportunity and I can see it slipping through our fingers. I realize that any criticism of coaches is met by mob rioting . I'm ok with that. Some will be right and some will be wrong. I'm very comfortable with my stance.

We will let it go if you have a houseboat tailgate at every football game. It would be awesome in oklahoma and arkansas this year…
