People at the top of their field don't turn down jobs because the expectations are high, or because they are filling big shoes.

And if they are worried about it, it isn't going to make them lose interest in the job. It's just going to make them hash out buyout terms that offset that risk.

Why would anyone worry about getting prematurely fired as a CFB coach? Getting fired as a CFB coach is one of the best things that can financially happen to someone in the history of man kind.

Depends greatly on what your value is...success for some is measured strictly in dollars, but for others it's performance. Getting fired for failure still hurts even if it's accompanied by a truckload of cash.

I’m not gonna worry regardless. I’m not in charge of anything Tennessee except for my fandom. I’m a VFL . (Not saying that you aren’t) I expect the Vols to win.

I don’t worry about it. I don’t worry about recruiting. I am glad that we have CJH. He wants players that want to be at Tennessee. He understands what it means to be a Volunteer and embraces it. That’s what we have needed since Fulmer was fired. We had ADs that didn’t understand. Our AD also understands.

I don’t understand all the borrowing trouble and worrying about things that I have no control over…

Sad for Mrs Terry if true. Lived it with a relative, and we all loved Pat. Would not wish it on anyone.

I'm not implying its true or anything like that. I do think Lanning is someone of interest to them but would be surprised if he was in Alabama.

Having said that, I believe Alabama administration has been aware of this happening for sometime. The word is Saban's wife has serious health issues. If I'm right, it would not shock me that they had wheels in motion for sometime on a replacement. I would expect a quick announcement on the replacement.
