Exactly...they needed something they could absolutely count on...there is no freaking way they would let little idealistic things like competitive fairness and integrity...an even playing field...gum up the gears of their multi-billion dollar machine.

Anyone following in Saban’s footsteps is going to fail. They may have success in Year 1 by using Saban’s scraps, but by 2 and 3, we’ll see the wheels starting to come off. The dynasty dies with Saban.

Have a buddy with some connections, TIFWIW, but he says this is due to Ms. Terry (Saban’s wife) having some major health problem diagnosis. Which is very sad and prayers to them if that’s the case.

On a football level, this lends to them not being as prepared as a year long plan. They may be having a full on coaching search.

You think 9-3 every year with some gasps at a playoff bid will cut it in a post-Saban Tuscaloosa? We had people wanting to run off Heupel this year at 8-4, and we haven’t done anything of substance since 1998.

Yeah...but you're nuts if you think 10-2, 9-3 type seasons will keep him employed in CrappaBubba land...lol...it's funny that you believe that..

That is the crux of it...they will get a good coach and he will live off of Sabans stockpile well for a season or two...but Coach _______ will get no patience...the first hiccups and that fanbase will eat him alive...and then the carousel will start up.

Birmingham office officiating stole several wins for Saban this year. Will they keep that up because it's Bama? If so 8-4 is rigged to read 11-1.
