No matter who Alabama hires it will be difficult for them to replicate what Saban was able to do. If that coach met or exceeded Saban’s achievements it would be remarkable. I don’t know if it’s possible in this new landscape.

I've had an affinity for their football program and fans since we played them. Happy for them. Solid work Lanning.

So with that, the biggest so-called “fish” that I can think of are:

- Smart (stays at UGA or jumps to NFL)
- Harbaugh (stays at Michigan or NFL)
- Sarkisian (don’t see leaving TX)
- Day (overstaying welcome @ OSU?)
- Dabo
- Franklin
- Kiffin
- Deion
- Norvell (jaded from CFP snub)
- Jimbo (overvalued)
- Myer (eliminate due to health?)
- Carroll (eliminate due to age?)
- Vrabel (don’t see in college, maybe OSU)
- Belichick (eliminate due to age?)

If they stay in the college ranks I see them making a push for Deion or Kiffin with Dabo and then Franklin as fallbacks.

Functionally impossible to replicate is more like it.

Norvell would win at Alabama but they won’t be the world beaters we experienced with Saban. Probably a similar run to what Richt had at Georgia.
