Yeah going 11-2...but starting out only 2-1 the next year... definitely fireable territory. We should just fire guys game by game so we can be our very best.Keep Garner and Ek. The rest gotta go tbh
I'm just not seeing generational unreplaceable loss out of one quarter's work against VIRGINIA. Maybe he would have been great against the Gators or he would've been the subject of multiple threads stating he wasn't SEC level talent. The only sure thing is for VN to canonize and retire your number, all you need is to stop playing. Did you lose any vital body parts from that FIRE? You seem to have retained your thumb for your butt and your middle finger to peck out your victim statement. The people that expressed concern when Pilli's injury was announced were ROASTED here. It's plain to see how that was a big loss. Elijah Herring will be a great player but he wasn't ready for the Swamp. UF continually exploited him and kept Aaron Beasley away from the play.
We could've used Pilli's experience and ability last night. I believe he would've made a few plays, possibly plays that forced UF off the field in the 1st half, that might've changed a game a bit.
I also agree Banks is not the problem. I like the way he actually calls games. It's also very evident that the majority of our talent is in inexperienced underclassmen which is good for the future. Our defensive problems are still the secondary. I think that will be evaluated at the end of the season. We've brought a lot of talent into the DBs though.

This isn't how succesful organizations are run. They have strategic planning, 5+ years...they have short-term planning, 1-3 years...what successful organziations don't do is make knee jerk reactions and change strategies and talent every 6 months. This is how failed orgs work. No vision. No strategy. Just reactionary panics.
If Heupel sees underperformance after 3 years, then he'll make moves. But considering how great this program has been considering ALL of the limitations, I have a hard time seeing more than a move or two at most. Jmo
He started Milton over hooker as well and it took an injury to get him into the game.I was at a wedding this weekend. So, I didn’t get to watch the game. I followed the box score last night, and all I know is why I can’t pinpoint who played bad, what the issue is, or anything like that due to not watching, simple observation would suggest something is wrong internally with this team.
Hooker and Hyatt were special players. There is no doubt there. But the significant drop-off in the offensive execution is baffling. Heupel didn’t forget how to coach. And Tillman didn’t even play last year for the most part. Clearly, this team is very much overrated. That was not a good Florida team in the slightest.
We need a spark in the worst way if we don’t want this season to spiral. Calls for Nico to play are going to get deafening this week, but I don’t think Heupel has any intention of starting Nico this year barring an injury. Whether that is right or wrong I don’t know. After all, Heupel is the one who originally started Milton over Hooker after watching them both practice…
It’s not that he’s a generational talent. He knows his assignments and knows where to be. You saw last night and in the AP game that running lanes that should have been filled were wide open not due to a good block but the linebacker being in the wrong spot or going into a block.I'm just not seeing generational unreplaceable loss out of one quarter's work against VIRGINIA. We saw it in the UVA game too whenever he was out. They ran to what would have been his side and had success doing it.It’s not that he’s a generational talent. He doesn’t have a ton of experience in those 6 years. I think that in and of itself should be pretty telling. Strongest arm I think I’ve ever seen, but the important things you need as a qb he seems to be missing. The intangibles of getting in and out of sets and making quick and efficient decisions are missing. Not a lot of command on the field. It’s still mind blowing a 6 year QB can’t get you in the right play and manage a game clock at the same time…wow
Coach Leach says it all here. 1. Accuracy. 2. Decision Making 3. Quick feet. Last I checked, Milton's game still lacking in those areas. He doesn’t have a ton of experience in those 6 years. He is not in error. It was reported he received an extra year of eligibility. Confirmed by Ryan Callahan. He was approved a waiver for a 7th year because he was unable to play in 21 due to injury.Pretty sure you’re in error. He’s class of 2018 and in his sixth season. Even accounting for 2020, he redshirted a season conventionally and sat a season medically. IF they applied for another season of eligibility, it would be filed AFTER this current season…not BEFORE. And the odds of it being APPROVED would be clinically low with the first being non-medically related…see Jerry Colquitt and Marcus Jackson. All that if he even would consider it. He almost declared for the draft this past off-season.
There's no way of KNOWING what we lost in one quarter of play. If he had been available and KNEW exactly WHY he wan't getting it done, I'm not seeing how that's better. It was a pedestrian effort by our entire defense yesterday...some very experienced amongst them. See Tank. It’s not that he’s a generational talent. He knows his assignments and knows where to be.
