In the past you might ab able to argue resources, but now not close.
DW, is the first AD at TN to care about anything other than football. Barnes has more resources than any coach ever has here for basketball, and I do believe DW gives equal support as to what a UCONN gives to their basketball program.
It's freakin awesomeit makes more sense for bb, with the volume of games...but bball is such a streaky sport, i kind of almost wish it was structured somewhat like the baseball tournament, where you play a series. less teams, probably more games.
as for football..we'll see how it works. i'm not so sure 12 is better nor am i sure it's good for the sport overall.
Do you have the reports that don't?DW hasn't hired a single coach other than football...and Barnes having more resources than any previous coach isn't the same as saying Barnes has more resources than UConn. Which is the point.
Now you're trying to say "equal support" but how do you know that? Got the annual report from UT that outlines how much money goes to the basketball programs?
We have good results too. Commiserate with where we WERE and what we are investing NOW. Go poll opposing fanbases and ask them if they wish they could swap teams and coaches. I bet the majority would. There may be 2 units in the SEC that might disagree. One of those (UK) has been absolutely owned by Barnes. The other wouldn't even have their coach if he had not effed up while here. SoDo you have the reports that don't?
I see the $ DW has put toward the B ball program. We have guys recruiting places we've never been before. Look at the travel DW has allowed thr basketball team to schedule. Yes, the new name of TBA is stupid, but that's another couple mil headed to the basketball program. It's pretty easy to see that DW is putting a ton of resources toward basketball.
So what does UCONN have that we don't?
We have a packed arena, seemingly a good recruiting budget, since assistant have only really left for steps up, a good assistant coach salary pool, a national travel schedule.

switch teams and Peyton is the one with all the rings.I mean you’re not wrong. Barnes is incredible and I love the man and everything he’s done for TN. But if the end goal is a natty, he can’t get you there. Nothing against him, he’s just not postseason coach. It’s kinda like Peyton. I love Peyton and will never speak ill of him. That being said, I’ll take regular season Peyton any day of the week, but when it’s time for postseason, I’m benching him and starting Brady. Peyton is the GOAT, but Brady gets you the rings.
Nice avi!Solid shoe game, @Sally!
