Jonesborough is a tough one. City of is completely financially taxed. Literally 100% dependent on tax dollars from tourism. They, like many others cannot keep up with demand. Housing is an absolute issue. Other issue is Washington County, which wants all the dollars without bearing any responsibility.

That is relevant as Jonesborough real estate is in even higher demand than JC. Average home costs are closer to $300K, but there arent any available. Florida and CA have driven up cost of everything else, by building massive homes in the County.

I'm not sure what you're looking for, or your budget. Since there's nothing going on downtown JB. I'd recommend looking toward Telford.!The mountains back up to the Nolichucky. If you can find a nice parcel, or home there is plenty of acreage. Close enough to downtown JB, but far enough away from people and noise.

Other option would Strawberry Fields, but that is closer to Johnson City. Ridges is close by, but a bunch of pomposity resides. Hard pass.View attachment 613967
Also if you like beer, and food trucks. Depot Street is solid. Rocky's Pizza is good. Music on the square is fun.

Was gonna recommend Telford as well. Would love to have some acreage there!

As far as cities go, I prefer Kingsport and then JC. Not much difference though, really. I really like the Harmony area as well.

Really just depends on what they're looking for. Neighborhood, fancy neighborhood, rural, etc. Prices are through the roof everywhere! No different than any other place I suppose.

Edit: Unicoi is nice as well....just a lil far out for my tastes.

The young backs have time to improve their blocking. I am sure they have been told how weak they looked against Iowa in the bowl game.

VFL...GBO
Young running backs always have to improve their pass blocking, particularly blitz recognition. That was the primary reason Jamal Lewis didn’t see even more snaps his freshman year too.

Anyone remeber the Chucky Trading Co in Jonesboro? That brings back good memories for me.

"He sent me across the Nolichucky to the vine-choked ruins of a mining operation at Bumpus Cove, and suggested I stop by the Chucky Trading Co., a restaurant that was once the 24-room residence of the mine owner. Strangely enough, it now serves Mexican food."

Especially the, "1 2 3 family" part.

Did you notice every player had Summit on the back of their jersey instead of their own name? Did you listen to Coach Kellie? It meant something to her that she reached her 100th win on the day that they dedicated to Pat Summit. You may or may not remember that she was the point guard for Coach Pat Summit - Lady Vols won 3 national championships during that time - and had an undefeated season. This was not about whether or not she’s an elite coach or whether you think these players are good, this was about a special moment.

Point is that it isn't like he's whiffed on every play or hasn't gotten better. People get things in their heads because of a couple of high visibility mistakes that often do not actually reflect reality. Some people are just too ready to run with any negative narrative about particular players or coaches (not you as far as I know).

Sampson just isn't a guy who needs fans to paint him with this stigma.
You’re not wrong with the narrative part. Sampson is a remarkable talent always has been. I’m simply saying (and I think you will agree with this) his lapses in protection are what has limited him in getting more snaps in this offense. He can improve and I think he will improve there. The Iowa game showed he still has a ways to go; of course the Oline could’ve been better and Nico also could’ve got the ball out faster as well at times.

Except, isn’t it more fun to watch it affect bama? 😈
I’m officially surprised at the depth of this fall.
Saban caused this player flight by having lied to his recruits' faces when he recruited them. And then he waited until they were enrolled (to hinder their transferring) to drop the news on his players suddenly. Brusque and uncaring treatment. They felt used.

It looks correctly to all the world like Saban just can't compete in the new era when other teams are allowed to match Saban's illegal bags snd Chargers, so Saban is running away. That conclusion -- reinforced by Saban's inability to win big in the new era and his need for Birmingham refs to double-down on their too obvious rigging for him, as well as Saban's continual crying about NIL (which tells Bama's roster a lot) -- has blown up his successor's roster.

And Saban was too vain to try to settle the Bama players down -- because he is in love with his crookedly obtained reputation and the media tongue-baths. Saban so reveled in the "end of an era" sycophant media frenzy (they never spoke the truth about Saban's NCAA enforcement exemption and Bama illicitly buying players the entire time he was at Bama.)

Just as Saban always took all the credit when they won and publicly scapegoated his coordinators and assistants when he got beat, so now he is relishing his headlines while throwing his successor under the bus.

Best of all, Bama fans are too stupid to realize that Saban is the one whose actions decimated his successor's roster. Bama fans can't face the fact that their heart-throb was the primary cause of their "crisis." 😂

Really would like to see Alabama defeat Auburn tonight, that would put Tennessee in a tie for top spot in SEC with the Cook Out King...
Sucks to be in that position, but Birmingham's scheduling gave those two the easiest route to the conference title and thus tournament seeding. Who would have guessed? We stomped Bammaw's a--!

By this logic, Heupel lied to his recruits at UCF. I’m sure he didn’t tell them he might leave when he was recruiting them.

This fall out at Bama is bc kids signed up to play for Saban.
