I love watching reaction videos of young men watching his highlight video. They’re amazed and usually come away with a comment about the NBA today lol.Where is Larry Bird on that list?
He's underappreciated IMO. His contemporaries would tell you they think he was one of the greatest. When he was on he was impossible to stop.
Holy cow! Never thought I’d see Private Eyes referenced anywhere. @Weezer should find himself a nice Wookalar to settle down with.Weez, you and me may be long lost brothers...im the same way. Secret rooms, secret passages...and, yes, mine comes from Scooby-Doo, as well; but, Clue, the movie, had a lot to do with it, along with The Private Eyes with Don Knotts and Tim Conway.
They’re a bunch of wimps with a basketball. UnwatchableThen you don't watch at all. That's fine. But you know not what you speak either.
The pro schemes, similar to football, has shifted towards offense. The schemes are far superior to the old days. Space and pace. Defenders are forced into either guarding very deep, 1-on-1s, or PnRs most of the time. Match that with THE greatest athletes from all around the globe, unlike 30-40+ years ago, and you get modern pro basketball. Not pounding it in slowly vs 3 other paint defenders. About as bad as running fullbacks behind multiple blockers into loaded boxes smh.
It's like folks saying nobody plays defense in football anymore because everyone's spread out...uptempo...there are tons of busted coverages. Some folks on the radio were saying how awful CFB playoff and bowl games were with all the wide open guys. They don't get how great the O schemes are these days that put pressure on every single defender. Only 1 or 2 teams each year are talented enough to really play elite level defense vs all of that.
@Ulysees E. McGill can you explain about how LJ would have fared in the 80s?I get it’s too close in time and people beef with LeBron for various reasons, but dude is the best NBA player of all time. He consistently beat the best anyone could throw at him for two decades. It’s transcendent.
Okay well my granddaughter was watching gymnastics on T.V. and some young lady done a back flip with a twist dismount off of parallel bars and stuck the landing..I can put up with a lot of crap in this forum. Not at all sure how much longer I can stand the GOAT basketball debate. Please stop
Dude...I was watching basketball way before you were a dirty thought in your daddy's head...it's NOT good basketball. Then you don't watch at all. That's fine. But you know not what you speak either.

It's f'n garbageThey were actually tryin to double team him and he was still gettin buckets. When you're good you're good.. 25 for 33 shooting. No matter what defense was played he was in the zone & gonna score.
Guess Kobe's 81 & Wilts "100" or multiple 60-70pt games was against great D back in the day that players now wouldnt score 10 on? Lol. Ppl are more talented & better offensively these days. You'll see another 80pt game soon. Would have tonight if Luke wanted to shoot more and not end up with 7assist and should of had more than that. Grant & the others missed several wide open shots he threw em.
First of all...first time Charles Oakley hit his wussy ass he would have laid on the floor and cried like the little floppy wussy baby he is.@Ulysees E. McGill can you explain about how LJ would have fared in the 80s?
This is the ONLY argument I'll listen to whenever talking about Bird's place, the shortness of his career. If someone doesn't want to put him top 5 because of his short career, that's very fair. Outside of that, save it...I don't waste my time on nonsense. His peak was elite. But short-lived, comparably.
Only 4 straight season 25 ppg+.
Just 6 seasons over .500 eFG%.
But at his top, yes he's definitely top 10 all-time, maybe higher. And that's a factor worth considering for sure. Everyone's career plays out differently.
