UT is on top of this NCAA investigation. Admin knew it was coming, and it was inevitable. The NCAA thought UT was not punished sufficiently last year, they did not like the support UT brought in and they were not through with UT. UT did not appreciate the way the NCAA said one thing and did another, and UT admin did not appreciate the late add-ons.

Everybody put a good public face on it, but neither side was happy with the other or the outcome of the investigation. Coming after UT as a repeat offender was always going to happen. The NCAA wanted to make an example out of big powerful school, and UT has been painted as a rogue program in multiple sports. (Hint: baseball.) This is unfinished business, and UT is prepared to finish it.
Sounds awesome!! LETTUCE GO!!! We about to burn the NCAA to the ground!

Sounds like to me the NCAA just picked the wrong fight with the wrong opponent.

So they were unhappy about the ruling THEY agreed to? And now they’re wanting to manufacture some bs to right some wrong ? Gotta get that postseason ban? What a joke.

so you are saying that cooperating with NCAA is not the way to go?

Has the NCAA underestimated the response from UT? I mean the Vols historically rolled over and exposed our keister. Did they seriously think this was going to come out well for them?

I wonder if Donde's reaching out for a meeting was perceived as capitulation? They reached in the cage for the abused dog and have now gotten bit.

UT has a reputation of rolling over whenever the NCAA comes sniffing around, even if it is for
their own agenda like getting Pruitt fired with cause.
I think the NCAA badly underestimated how hard UT would fight this time and they failed to read the room when it came to how other schools and fans felt about their non-stop bull****. Hell, the main national story is not about what the NCAA said but about Plowman's fiery response.
WE control the narrative.
Everyone realizes NIL is relevant. Athletes needed to be compensated. NCAA, with poor leadership ergo no vision, failed to see the horizon.

In a time where our sports need a Lambo, we got a '74 Olds. This is exactly what it is. New NCAA President, with no ties coming in wanting to establish himself as an alpha, with beta moves.

Dog dont hunt.
