People are gonna kill me for saying this, and I can’t speak regarding Boss Nick, but I believe Donde has Greg Sankey’s blessing on this.

NCAA gone means we likely go to a two conference system over time and the leaders of those programs will be the real money makers. NCAA gone means more money for the SEC and Sankey and they make all the deals. They will support us as will other schools. It’s not a winnable case for NIL with it ever changing and if we are going to fight, it’s very bad for them.

The NCAA screwed up years ago by not allowing student/athletes to make money and levying penalties for transferring.
They let up. Great.

But the way the NIL is set up now is just plain wrong. Athletes should be allowed to sell autographs, do TV commercials, work with a company to sell their jersey, etc...........That's what people wanted all along....not this.

Some sort of college football and basketball will be around. The vast majority will be non-scholarship..........but the non-revenue collegiate sports will be gone soon. THAT is a shame.

UT donation and Spyre donation just went up substantially.

The NCAA has been sniffing around UT for months. UT has looked into it internally and does not feel the university did anything wrong. This is a well-orchestrated campaign, months in the making. It comes from the top, there has been a top-notch legal team in place and there is widespread support, including our old friend in B'Ham.

Even if we don't come out smelling 100% like roses I think this will be our rallying point. Onwards and upwards.

The markets always adjust brother. Kids will want to play sports and schools will want to attract them. At some point smaller schools will stay relevant by being farm teams. They might even make money from players leaving if they structure their own NIL appropriately.

NCAA should have been jumping for joy, that UT completed the first investigation for them and paid for it.

UT needs to lay waste to the NCAA at this point. Playing nice didn't work because the AA is a bunch of power hungry bullies who likely got their jobs through nepotism instead of hard work and merit. Time to end them once and for all.
